    Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a fantastic racer. The tracks and racers are great, and the controls – small jet niggles aside – are excellent.

    It really is a breath of fresh air for the kart racing genre. If anything, it goes to show that Nintendo may need to do a little more than just add a new feature to their next iteration of Mario Kart.

    You are, for sure, waiting for a Mario Kart on the Wii U, but until that happens, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed can satisfy your "hunger".

    It's really a shame that such obvious and ostensibly easy-to-fix bugs are out there right now, because without them, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is an excellent entry into a monopolized subgenre that does things differently enough to be well worth a look. I feel pretty confident that a true fix will be realized eventually. As of a week a half after launch, though, this is a slightly busted version of a great game.

    Not a massive fan of Sonic the hedgehog, though there is no doubting that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is the best kart-racer type game that has ever been released. It has everything which is wanted in this specific kind of game. There are many modes, heaps of challenges and tonnes of replay value along with many playable characters. The tracks and challenges are probably the best aspects of this game. The tracks constantly change causing for a transformation of vehicle, meaning laps are rarely the same. The challenges allow you to test your abilities and obtain new skills for races. Modifications are obtainable and allow for those to have any racer race how they wish. The online is great and never lags. If you enjoyed Mario Kart Wii, you will LOVE this game.… Expand

    I'm absolutely loving this game. I'm surprised at the price point for this one honestly. It is a steal at US $40. My other Wii U games have been being a bit neglected thanks to Sonic Racing Transformed. Unlike the impression a fellow reviewer tries to give below the game is indeed supported for gamepad only play. Besides that though the game doesn't really need any other touch screen enhancements and stands on its own as a great addition to the Wii U library.… Expand

    Being that this is a multiplatform release, I can't help but wonder why people were expecting something drastically different from this game. Of course it's just a DX version as compared to its release on the other platforms. If you thought it was going to be a different version entirely just because it was on the Wii U, you're a fool. That said, it's a fun an engaging racer that, while it doesn't outdo Mario Kart, provides a quality experience that anyone can enjoy, especially SEGA fans. Maybe not worth the price tag, but it's still a game worth having.… Collapse

    7.5 actually. Don't believe all the perfect 10 reviews, but don't believe the 5 one's either. This game is good, no doubt about it. The racing is fun. especially with friends. There are many characters to choose from, vehicles, upgrades etc. This is a proper racing game no doubt about it. The transformation gimick gives it more kick, but it's not a game changer imo. So why just 7.5? because that's what it's worth. Its a good game, but not great. I play mario kart 7 and mk7 is better than this, the gameplay is just more accurate and more challenging. So should you play it? yes! just don't think it's the racing game of the century. I'm sure that anyone can find joy in this game. If you're goinf to choose between Mario kart, or Sonic racing, go with mario.… Expand
