    I remembered trying to play this game as a kid and getting frustrated with it before giving up fairly quickly, so I was eager to give it another try as an adult. Different life stage, same result. This is a very difficult game with no guidance or learning curve at all; it's basically trial-and-error from start to finish, or following an online walkthrough which defeats the purpose of playing the game. In A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia, you play a boy who has befriended an amorphous white alien, a.k.a. the Blob, which can transform into various objects when fed certain flavors of jelly beans. Good luck figuring out which beans to use in which situations. You'll run into one GAME OVER after another before you start memorizing exactly what you have to do to advance. This game had so much promise, but the end result is far too linear and absurdly difficult to enjoy. Perhaps the modern remake turned out better. (I haven't played it.)… Collapse
