Never does it become particularly fun, though it's quietly engaging in its own methodical, repetitive way. It's not a full-price purchase by any means, and it's nowhere close to the high action-RPG bar set by Champions of Norrath on the PS2 three and a half years ago.
  2. 40
There are moments where it feels good (which we hope can be expanded on for a decent follow-up, or be applied to another game entirely), but mainly it leaves a bitter taste.
  3. 40
The addition of character development is a nice touch, but was handled poorly, and the visuals are almost depressing.
  4. Alien Syndrome has a lot of promise, but the lack of a decent story and the poorly implemented Wii controls hamper the experience. If you're a fan of the original, get this on the PSP instead.
  5. Gamers should do their best not to contract this syndrome.
  6. Alien Syndrome is another entry in the catalogue of Wii games that fail to grasp the potential of the system. Simply tacking on a few new controls in a title that could easily have been created twenty years ago is not a winning formula.
  7. A thoroughly disappointing and discouraging game.
  8. It's dull, it's repetitive and it's as much fun as being cuddled by a cactus. [Nov 2007, p.87]
  9. 40
Alien Syndrome is a generic update and a game that is easily forgotten.
  10. If you're an alien: we apologize for any offense taken by the poor representation of your kind in this game. Please don't invade us.
  11. The two-player cooperative mode may keep a duo of youngsters quiet for a handful of weekends, but otherwise this mismatched game has very little to offer.

Well I cant understand the low score here. This is a really fun shoot em up overhead rpg. There's a ton of weapons and items to upgrade. Lots of aliens. And its a seriously long game as well. I'm hooked on this one.The users obviously disagree. Full Review »

Great game for co-op with non stop upgrades to keep it fun. Yes graphics are a bit dated but fun for the Wii to have a game like this on it;s roster. Its great to see less of the notorious minigame trend occurring in most Wii games but of the few offered here, they are easy to deny play, and continue which I recommend because they are hard and take upgrades away. Good game for non stop fun for 2-4 players. Do recommend it. Full Review »

Liked it a lot, played for hours and hours and loved the building, and puzzle solving scenarios. For multiplayer, it provided a fun gaming experience. Full Review »
