  • Summary: Players take on the heroic personas of the TV star dog, Bolt, and his owner, Penny, from the high-action television series featured within the Disney film. As Bolt, players can use his superpowers, including laser vision and his superbark, which sends out a sonic blast to devastate opponents, and as Penny, players utilize stealth, hacking skills and a wheelbar, inspired by her scooter seen in the movie, to outwit enemies. 1. Bolt is without doubt on of the most enjoyable animated movies in the last years, both for its plot and its production. Unfortunately, its console adaptation can only tarnish its good name, with a poorly adapted gameplay, almost unacceptable graphics and which becomes very repetitive.
  2. A shallow, boring, repetitive game with very little depth and uninteresting gameplay.

A few good ideas went into Bolt but the execution is all wrong. Playing as Bolt is both annoying and repetitious and Penny's stealth sections are pointless because of her ability to take down enemies with a single QTE.
  4. Disney should've given Bolt's right-hand hamster Rhino his own game instead of shoving this one through the doggy door.

Quite extensive! Easy to use controls. A bit tedious at times fighting endless bad guys, until you figure out the "goal" of the area you're in. For Wii, to use "supercharge" (if you miss the too-quick onscreen "hint") use Control-Pad Down and Z at same time, then you can supercharge your superbark. :-) All in all, it's good fun. Penny's wheelbar is too cool to use. My 7 year old girl (who's easily frightened by scary movies/games) likes it. Collapse
