Bomberman Hero is not as big, beautiful or as well made as Super Mario 64, yet it's a solid platformer for those who also enjoy this genre beyond the mustache guy with the red hat. You'll get Mario for the same price on your VC, but if you already got him, this won't be too big a mistake to check out.

Bomberman Hero has an element of curiosity going for it, and that curiosity may just been enough to justify giving it a chance.

I accidentally bot this game instead of bomberman 64 and at first I was like wtf is this. The game was ridiculously cutesy. But I have to admit it was addicting and very challenging. Got to the last boss. Full Review »

A truly under-appreciated game. While Bomberman Hero lacks the multiplayer that the series is known for, it does provide a surprisingly solid platforming title. While the plot is a laughably bad rip-off of Star Wars, the gameplay provides many tricks and challenges to enjoy. The game's soundtrack is incredibly catchy even for those who dislike the jazz/techno genres which most of it is based on. Though some of the vehicular levels will cause frustration (especially the Bomber Jet if you're a 100% completionist) they are still manageable. Bomberman Hero might be limited to one player, but its soundtrack, gameplay, and challenges are sure to make up for it if you are a fan of the platforming genre. Full Review »
