I have to agree with the Angry Video Game Nerd, the game has no mercy, but the challenge is slowly rising the more levels you get through, the problems I have is that the amount of damage you can take is really huge at the end of the game, the Medusa Heads can actually take a 3rd of your health with one hit, ONE HIT! The other is when you die fighting Dracula on the NES, unlike the version on the Famicom Disk System, you don't start at the bottom of the grand stair case on the NES, you are sent all the way back to the beginning of the stage, if you wanna play this game, do anything you can to play the Famicom version, the music is different because of a few extra sound channels that enhanced the music, the amount of damage an enemy takes depends on the enemy itself, not how far you are a long the game, and when you die fighting Dracula, you start at the bottom of the grand stair case, just like the first game. The plot is that the game stars Trevor Belmont, an ancestor to Simon Belmont, which automatically makes the game a prequel. Full Review »
