In the list of games I'm dying to play in the Castlevania series, a 3D fighter was about as far from the top as possible, but Judgment was a pleasant surprise.

Instead of treading in familiar action territory, Castlevania Judgement introduces us to a fighting genre with Castlevania characters but the overall Castlevania feel and quality that the series usually displays suffers quite a bit with this change.
The end product fails as a fighter, as a part of the Castlevania series, and as a video game in general.
A judge is what this Castlevania really needs. This franchise first time on Wii is a time-waster for anybody who wants to expend a nice afternoon playing with some friends. Not even its graphics are what they should be. Its a very poor game on every aspect except for its decent sound, but nothing more than that.
Castlevania fanatics will hate the unnecessary liberties taken with their favorite characters, fighting game enthusiasts will abhor the crippling lack of character balance, and everyone should just cross their fingers that the next game to bear this franchise's once vaunted name is put together with a lot more care.
As a fighter, Castlevania Judgment employs too many design ideas that are neither well planned nor well executed. It's a strange misstep for the beloved series, one that Konami hopefully learns from.
Haters gonna hate. This game rocks. This is the Final Fantasy Dissia of the Castlevania franchise. The controls are simple and smart, as long as you're using the Classic Controller. Each move has a counter, and it becomes a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Who said that's a bad thing, though?
Many gripe about the camera, but it's whatever. I haven't had any problems with the camera. Anyone who has a problem with it needs to get something called hand-eye coordination. The special attacks are cool, not too short, not too long. The voice acting is satisfactory, however mouths move often when nothing is even being said.
In addition to the story mode, there's a Dracula's Castle mode, where you explore different rooms, accomplishing different objectives. The pull here is to earn custom equipment to decorate your characters with.
Wifi is fine as long as your partner has a good connection.
I love this game, for the price I paid for it, it's a steal. Thanks for all the nay-sayers rating this game down, making it cheap.

THE GOOD: An enjoyable, easy to learn, fighter that features great stages, nice graphics (wii), and an incredible score. THE BAD: The camera CAN BE **** adventure mode in a "Castlevania" game? THE UGLY: Zomg, why did they drag the Belmont's into this title? The character design and story really do not fit in the Castlevania series. This is annoying and cheap marketing that probably hurts perception of this game more than helps.

This isn't castlevania; It's somewhere between a poorly executed and overdone concept and a shovelware like the same pop'n music they had on wii. The gameplay is good and they actually sent the guy who drew Death Note for the characters which means for some strange reason effort is put into it; But the exterior makes me want to fart pigs.
When Eric Lecarde is a shota trap, Maria's character got spilled all over the wall (Plus her fixation on BOOBS), Carmillia for some reason got featured as a succubus thingy inspite in the real games she is a type of mid boss character, and all of the character designs in general are overdone like a ketchup filled high-quality burger, you know that by instinct that you should avoid this game despite how entertaining the actual gameplay is.
By the way did i mention that the only things that Konami did any good right now is their music department called "Bemani"? And those games that they do right that were produced now were Arcade games where you won't find in outside Japan or Korea 99% of the time.

I was trying to see if I could sneak in a a 4 out of 10 or even a 3.5. But dear lord is the game combat/fighting so darn boring. It is like a too simplistic version of Ninja Storm, without the iconic characters, and boring, over the top, unskippable ultimates. What were they thinking? It would have been better to go a Soul Calibur 3 route, but I doubt they can compete with that.
The only 2 good things, was the DS bonus content with Castlevania order of Ecclesia and the beautiful artwork from the mangaka of Death Note.
