  • Summary: [WiiWare] Another 100 years have passed since the death of Count Dracula, but his curse has emerged once again within the realms of Transylvania. Play the role of the ultimate gothic hero from the long lineage of vampire hunters, the Belmont clan, and rid the universe of Dracula's legion of darkness and doom. Based on the classic 1989 original Castlevania: The Adventure, this WiiWare version will allow players of a new generation - and older fans - to experience one of the most popular games within the storied Castlevania timeline from a new perspective. 1. Konami has done Wii owners a big favor with this "ReBirth" line of games, with its "Castlevania" title being the best of them all. As long as you don't mind the more straightforward progression and the absence of RPG elements, this is a highly recommended Wiiware download.
  2. That design flaw and the synth-y soundtrack are my only real problems with Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth. Otherwise, it's a great game (superb, even) and is sure to satisfy any and all people who like this sort of thing.
  3. Not quite as epic as Rondo of Blood but still a great new/old addition to the series. [May 2010, p.88]
  4. Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth is a throwback to the 16 bits generation. An old school game with many feelings but lack in innovation. It will satisfy the classical players but at same time It won´t be so attractive for newcomers with the franchise. A enjoyable 2D Castlevania and one of the best games on Wiiware.

Beautiful game with awesome soundtrack. Konami has gone back to the 2D, linear style we all learned to love before SotN, and they've done a stand-up job. A number of new features help to give new life to the series. A must-play for even the most minor fans of Castlevania or of old-school platformers in general. Expand

Old school castlevania at it's best. Unlike those metroidvania this one puts a real challange to the player and I'll keep you interested to master every level. Graphics and music are perfet! Collapse
  3. This game is a great entry into the Castlevania series and a lot of fun to play through from beginning to end. It is challenging and rewarding and really well put together. It you like the series in its original incarnations, you will love the superior treatment that this Wiiware exclusive was given. It is too bad that more companies didnt give their old games this kind of treatment. Gargoyles Quest and such would have been excellent additions to the system as well. Expand
Expand
