  1. I liked the fact that there were so many mini-games that could be replayed separately from the game, but these alone cannot hold up the entire game.
  2. A dark fantasy adventure stripped of darkness, fantasy and, well, adventure. [July 2009, p.71]
  3. Other than the three or four hours of play you'll get out of Coraline, there isn't much left to be done.
  4. The best thing I can say about Coraline is that it’s not broken. It works, and just about anyone could play it from start to finish, but I don’t understand why anyone would want to.

The enviroments were very detailed and similar to the movie, I was impressed by the difference between the two 'worlds'. The sound was great, real voices from the movie and similar background music that sounds really pretty. The mini games weren't all that bad, but some were frustrating (balancing) by the confusing controls. But once you've picked it up you'll sail through. Scenes which can't be played are shown as narrated storyboards which gives you the feel your having it read out of a book. The feature is OK, but some exciting scenes are cut short on the storyboard and I would have much rather played through them or watched them. A Coraline Movie fan would love this game and not mind the bad points, otherwise if you havn't seen the movie or didn't like it that much, Id let this one pass... Expand
  3. I'll say it again... The movie is excellent, the game is one of the worst of all time. This game makes no sense, after playing it for about 5 minutes will make you think, "Why did I buy this again," or "What's going on?" Expand
