  1. Crash: Mind Over Mutant isn't the best title in the series, but it's the closest that anyone has ever come to matching the amazing games that Naughty Dog developed back in the day.
  2. These little pleasures make it relatively painless to play this game for extended periods of time, and even make it worth putting up with the repetitive and sometimes annoying music. It takes about eight hours to win on the medium ("Tricky") difficulty setting, not counting the side missions and the plenty of quirks you can unearth.
  3. So if you are a Crash Bandicoot fan who happens to own a Wii this is a must have game. But if you are just looking for a great new game to play, this would be a good, but not great, addition to your video game collection.
  4. From design to execution, this is a mess of a game, and a new low point for the once-loved marsupial. [Dec 2008, p.110]
  5. But it’s not quite slick enough underneath all those pretty visuals to earn essential status.
  6. They may be annoyed by the camera and/or repetitive objectives but will be entertained by what is the best Crash game developed in a long time – and one of the best Mario clones released for Nintendo Wii.
  7. The kids will giggle a lot, and you will find yourself smiling at the humor. The game has plenty to do so that is a nice increase of its value.

Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant is exactly like its predecessor: a mildly enjoyable platforming romp that's sure to satisfy younger players, but won't provide much that seasoned players haven't already experienced before.
  9. Like Crash Of The Titans before it, Mind Over Mutant is a welcome step in the right direction for the Crash franchise.
  10. A marked improvement on Crash's last game and good-looking too. If it was just a bit tighter in level design and control, it would be truly great. [Christmas 2008, p.62]
  11. Crash: Mind Over Mutant isn’t the most original platformer we’ve played -- it’s not even the most original Crash title we’ve played -- but it does work much better than some previous titles in the series.
  12. The charming story and genuine humor are far overshadowed by the shallow gameplay.
  13. Crash: Mind Over Mutant is a surprisingly well put-together platforming title.

A real nice 3D free-romping game full of humor, action and good animation. This game is sure to satisfy 90% gamers who come across it, but a camera feature shouldbe added. Full Review »

Real nice 3D free romping game to satisfy 90% of the gamers that come across it. I really see no problem with the camera, but it could be a nice feature. Full Review »
