This game is great! I'm way behind because I didn't know about this game until a month ago, but I'm way into it. I have a 360 and a Wii. I originally got Dead space 1 on the 360 and was in love. Then I had Dead Space 2 pre ordered when I discovered there was a Wii addition rail type shooter that was the prequel. I was kinda sceptical because I played a Shooter "on-rails" before on Wii and didn't think it was very fun. I used to love those types of games in arcades, but never appealed to me very much on consoles. But, this game pushes new boundaries. For being on the Wii the graphics are top notch. And the way they went with the game being "on-rails" is awesome. It's more like watching a movie and you are the main character. There is a lot of cut scenes, but they are well done and the acting is awesome for a video game. Then in the middle of watching this "movie" you get to shoot a bunch of things. It is the best game on Wii I have ever played and I love how it fills in the story more about how things got so bad before Dead Space 1. Expand

Dead space extraction is a great game period. I own all three systems and have played both dead space 1 and 2 and this dead space on rails for the wii or for ps3 is a awsome experience. Great story great graphics. The will remote I like a little better than the move because I feel the speaker in the wii mote adds a little to the game play. It is a shame the wii is dissed so much by the die hard xbxers out there because honestly they are missing out on a great title. If you don't pick this one up then you are the one missing out. Worth every penny and one of the best games ever on rails. Love it. Expand

  1. More horror movie simulator than game, but a brilliant, tense and exciting experience still. [Dec 2009, p.62]

Drop-in local multiplayer, though a decent laugh on higher difficulty settings, can’t quite save Dead Space: Extraction from solid rental status.
  3. Like Dead Space before it, this one’s a class act, through and through. Heed the censor's warning though... this is no kiddies' title.
