  1. For its discount price point, pinball enthusiasts will be entertained.
  2. Remarkably ordinary pinball that's quite forgettable. Wait for the Williams collection - it's load better than this one. [July 2008, p.68]
  3. While there are a lot of issues with Dream Pinball 3D it is hard not to recommend it to fans of the classic arcade game.
  4. With a mediocre physics system and a severe lack of alternative modes, you can't help but wonder whether SouthPeak's creation would have found a better home on the newly-created WiiWare service, where simplicity and value go hand in hand.
  5. Dream Pinball 3D isn't exactly what we dreamed of, but it's solid enough to keep most pinball wizards occupied for a while. [Issue#23, p.75]

Dream Pinball 3D isn't a terrible effort but it suffers from unrealistic physics. Even if the player was given a sense of the weight of the ball and the flippers reacted like they should, you'd still have some pretty generic tables.
  7. Dream Pinball 3D is closer to a nightmare than a dream.

If you like pinball so much that this is tempting just turn on your PC and play the free pinball game that comes with Windows. Much better, much more fun and not a total waste of a Wii game.

The thing about pinball is you need to invest a bit of time into a session before you can work out where everything is and which shot lights up what. The themed tables are great, something for everyone, the music makes the atmosphere and the sound effects keep you coming back. Honestly, put a bit more time in rather than expecting it all to happen at once and THEN you'll reap the rewards. Full Review »
