As most of the reviews above state, FIFA 10 on the Wii has gone backwards in time to an old fashion arcade style, reminiscent of games from the early 90’s. It’s fun (my ten year old & five year sons loved it) but I like my footie games to have a more real feel to them, glowing green balls is a bit much! It has made me wonder if I should jump ship to a different platform, FIFA 10 on the Sony play station looks incredible So if you have FIFA 09 stick with that for this coming season. If not then FIFA 10 is okay and on the up side the online gaming experience is better in this new version and is just about worth it for that alone Expand

I created an account on this site just to put these bad reviews to bed. This game is 100% fun. First, it's better than any other FIFA for the wii as far as multiplayer. Second, it has good online options. Finally, the arcade influence is refreshing. Yes, the animated look is odd at first but its preferable to the ps2 style graphics of the previous editions.

It has a lack of depth and gamemodes, but it's fun to play, if you don't expect a simulation.

If i had started playing the game without knowing which game i was playing i wudn't hav recognizd this . I would have thought it was a "MATRIX SOCCER" game ..... the game's kinda cool but it doesn't have the FIFA feel ..... The gameplay's resembles Fifa STREET . The controls are far more responsive than its predecessor but the graphics are cartoon like which is a BIG disapoinment . Expand

The game is amazing, not perfect, but with simple and efficient controls and great online playing is the best Soccer game for Wii. Sound is OK and players moves also, the sound could be better but is acceptable. The great think is PLAY! Very competitive and fair, perfect for online and offline.

  1. The arcadey approach is an interesting diversion for the series and one that just about pays off. [Nov 2009, p.80]
  2. FIFA 10, like the other games on the franchise, is a fair bet on the essence of football. There are few changes in this edition - more shooting score opportunities, a better placed goalkeeper and a few more low-profile changes. It's enough to justify the buy if you like arcade football, but you should stick with last year's edition if you have it already.
  3. The sleeping giant of the FIFA kingdom roars into life, but it's still an all-format minnow. [Nov 2009, p.66]
