  • Summary: Fishing gets closer to home in Fishing Master, a title that takes arcade style fishing and updates it for a whole new generation. Utilizing both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, players bait, cast, hook, & battle a variety of different fish, all from the comfort of their living rooms. Players assume the role of an up-and-coming fisherman tasked by his grandfather to compete in increasingly difficult fishing tournaments to attain the coveted Fishing Master title. Deep in accessible and varied gameplay, Fishing Master sports a single-player mode and a four-player head-to-head multiplayer mode aiming to have players reeling in the fun for days. [Hudson] Expand

  1. There aren't any extra bells or whistles, but true fishing fans don't need fancy. We are enjoying it, and the price is right at $30. I can truthfully say that we've had more fun with this game than with some more detailed and more expensive games.
  2. As a first game this was actually pretty impressive, and although the mechanics could be a bit frustrating at times it was still worth it to put the work in and enjoy fishing.
  3. Fishing Master is a game with quite a few negative points. Mainly the fishing is just horrible. Fishing with the Wii-Remote and the Nun-chuck is simply boring. Once you how to do it, it's all basically the same. The only advantage to the game is that you're able to buy new fishing rods and lures and join tournaments. But it doesn't compensate for the fishing system.

If you enjoy fishing (fresh water or Salt) you need to check into this game. Easy simple controls lead to an addicting enjoyable gameplay. However, Master still remains challenging enough for all ages. Lays excellent foundation for other fishing games in the future. Expand
