  1. The only sour spot in the package is Bop It’s cumbersome motion controls.
  2. It’s not perfect, but if you’re hunting for a good stocking stuffer this holiday season that the whole family can appreciate, Family Game Night 2 is head and shoulders above most other casual fare.

For $40 Hasbro Family Game Night 2 gets you five board games that would cost around $60 seperately, so it's a pretty good value. Connect 4x4 and Pictureka are a lot of fun, Operation and Jenga are decent, and Bop It is the only failure.
  4. Not all board games can be improved by virtualization, but there's some fun to be had in this game collection.
  5. If you’re looking for a good stocking stuffer for a young Wii owner in the family, Hasbro Family Game Night 2 isn’t too bad.
  6. The addition of remixed versions of old classics makes this a worthy alternative to traditional tabletop games. [Christmas 2009, p.80]
  7. If you don’t mind the fact that there are only five games in this collection and you are too lazy to put out the real games, this is the right thing for you. And they really entertain – except for “Pop It”.
  8. One for very drawn out periods spent in confined spaces with family. [Christmas 2009, p.98]
  9. Works better than the first. [Christmas 2009, p.64]
  10. Despite having a very similar feel Family Game Night 2 offers an overall better experience then last years game due to the selection of games on offer in the title. Don’t expect a thrilling single player experience though as this isn’t what the games about.

In all, Family Game Night 2 offers five good board games for $40. The problem is, if you already own these classic games, there is no need to buy this. If you don't own these games, I recommend buying the actual board games for they are a lot more fun to play then sitting through a lot of not needed nonsense and using the Wii-mote, which isn't as responsive as it should have been.
  12. Most of the games here work fine, but the justification for playing digital representations of them is still highly questionable. You might be better off playing a real board game.

The games that are fun are very fun, it is just too bad the entire package is so hit-or-miss.
  14. Pass on this unless you are someone who would rather play games on a console that don’t translate that well to the video-game platform. The controls are not that good and grind the frustration level even when trying to play the games on their original settings. Some of the retro games are decent, though.
  15. 45
Family Game Night Volume 2 is an awkward one to recommend when bearing in mind the costs of the physical board games.
  16. Comprised of several well loved classic games, including the historic Operation, Hasbro Family Game Night 2 should be a lot better than it is. Other than Connect 4x4, which holds up relatively well, the board games just don’t convert well to the Wii.

Hi we're the Davis family. We are very loving and we would love for you to invite us to Family Game Night. I would say this because we are very active,we love to play games like scramble, boggle, sorry, and more. We would also like to be on Family Game Night because we could use the extra money for my college tuition in the future. My little brother loves stuff like this and so do I. If you want to see a great game and have a great time we're the ones you're looking for. A current number is (708)323-7112 . You should really think this over. Love the Davis family. Full Review »
