A guilty pleasure of a shooter. It certainly has its issues, particularly with repetitive segments of play and easy encounters which clearly hold it back. It's further complicated by the fact that there's no survivor mode and you fight fewer enemies. However, if you're looking for a mindless amount of fun, it's still a tolerable way to go.
  2. I've certainly played better shooters, and the mere addition of dinosaurs doesn't amount to much when the vast majority of your opponents are raptors.

I don't remember how I came across this game, but I do remember it was when I was doing something involving Dinosaurs. this game, look pretty bad just by the cover, but trust me, it actually has a lot of entertainment going for it. The story is the worst aspect of the game. it seems pretty far out there, and was probably just an excuse so you could kill dinosaurs. there are also a few plotholes in the game, like what exactly the "Time Vortex" is. but thankfully, the gameplay is great and stomps out the bad story. I usually hate it when a shooter doesn't take a risk and tries some new enemies instead of humans, and this game does well with the fact that you fight dinosaurs. I don't think I've ever had more fun in a game than killing dinosaurs. It's just simply awesome, complete with one boss soundtrack. the graphics, even for a Wii game, are ok at best: the character models look like they were made for the Play Station, but the dinosaurs actually look very well done, which I think is what this game was going for. But there are some other problems with the game. for one, the voice acting is horrendous. none of these people did a good job on voicing the characters. I also feel like the characters were very bland, with little to no development whatsoever. I'm all about focusing a game on dinosaurs, but they should have tried to develop the characters a bit more. One thing that absolutely confused me was the fact that giant scorpions were enemies in the game. How is this logical at all, for both the game and real life? If the game wanted to focus on you fighting dinosaurs, these shouldn't have been incorporated into the game. Overall, Jurassic: the Hunted is a pretty enjoyable game. The story may be a turn off to some with its plotholes, but the addicting gameplay and great soundtrack add up to make an fps on the Wii that actually works. And for the Wii, that's saying a lot.
