But even with a few rough edges on its presentation, Lead the Meerkats is still a nice design and a worthwhile option for fans of the action/sim/strategy hybrid genre that Nintendo helped to pioneer.
We found it to be a fun experience, despite some slightly annoying controls and obtuse instructions. If you like sim games or meerkats and want to try your hand at building a pack of your own, it's certainly worth a look.
If you're patient this might impress, otherwise you'll be asleep in an hour. [Aug 2010, p.99]
What looked like a peaceful riff on one of Miyamoto's finest ideas winds up a far duller prospect than it ought to have been. Shame.
Compare The Pikmins.com will be overloaded once people tire of this well-meaning but dull wildlife sim.
