  1. Although it runs at a budget price, I can’t recommend a purchase, even for fans of the show. A quick rent might suffice, but this game won’t keep you entertained very long.

Legend of the Dragon is one of the few Game Factory titles I've ever looked at with pure disdain. The truth of the matter is that its $39.99 price tag has almost no justification, as the game has very little in actual substance.

Someday, the Wii may host its own quality 3D fighter. If it does, though, it’ll be something like Super Smash Brothers Brawl – something built from the ground up for this console. Otherwise, maybe you just can’t teach a new dog old tricks.

Sure there’s multiplayer and a few different modes, but when it all hinges on a basic, one-dimensional fighting engine it really doesn’t matter. Each fighter feels nearly identical, uses the same three super attacks, and there’s no real depth to the experience to add on top of that.
  5. This strives for nothing and doesn't even make it that far. A poor game for a poor franchise. [JPN Import; Aug 2007, p.54]
  6. There’s very little to like about the Nintendo Wii version of Legend of the Dragon and the fact that very little effort was placed in making the Wii technology fit the game is reason enough to skip this one.
  7. Giving us eight play mode options to choose from is about as generous as giving a death row inmate choice of execution. Legend of the Dragon plays like a shitty banjo.
  8. Whether you're a fan of the cartoon or a fan of fighting games, Legend of the Dragon is a total disappointment.

Throughout its lifespan, Legend of the Dragon fails to entertain for more than a few minutes.
  10. 30
It's not outright broken, but is so bland and generic that unless you love the show it's not even worth playing, let alone buying.
  11. Overall, though, I really can't recommend this game, even to fans of the show. It almost feels as if the developers spent more time on making this look and feel like a cartoon and just forgot to do much more than a basic game.
