This is the breakout, must-buy hit that WiiWare needed to justify its existence. LostWinds is a beautiful and unique exploration-based platformer that takes full and natural advantage of the Wii's control setup.
  2. Ultimately, though, Lost Winds is a wonderful little game, and a great promise of what’s to come.
  3. LostWinds is a remarkable game that absolutely deserves to be experienced.
  4. Feels like a real-deal Wii title, so a purchase is a real no-brainer. [Aug 2008, p.71]
  5. It's a great buy for 10 dollars. It's fun, addictive, fluent, beautiful, and all around a good time.
  6. In terms of longevity, LostWinds is no hurricane, but its quality is as refreshing as a cool breeze on a hot summer's day. Simply magical.
  7. LostWinds is brimming with potential, but the result leaves a lot to be desired.

Mixing Kirbies Canvas Curse type scribbling with wind based puzzle elements, makes this a killer game. It is sort of short, almost 3 to 4 hours to complete, but considering that for 10$ price and unique like approach on the Wii, it's all worth it. Expand

It's a 10 dollar adventure game with great art direction and production value that uses motion control well and anyone can enjoy it. A bit short...yes, but it's a great way to debut the WiiWare service. Expand

I'm not sure what beta version of the game GameSpot reviewed, but the one I played was worthy of a 9/10 rating. Expand

It is a side scrolling platformer at it's heart, with a unique controll scheme. The use of the wii remote and nunchuk are used to create a new vibe in an old genre, the nunchuk controls a young boy, the wii remote pointer is used to control a wind spirit. The duality of this system exceeds the some of it's parts as you explore the 3 to 4 hour adventure, leaving you wanting more and there will be more to this story. For the price of $10 or 1000 wii points, the entertainment value is very high. Developers should take note, players should pay to play as this is gifted game with a simple spirit, here's hoping it grows. Expand

The place you fight the final boss makes it seem like they were going to make multiple stages of the boss fight in different spots, but they didn't. Maybe if you collect all of the collectable items then the final boss is different, I don't know as far as I can tell they were pointless. Collapse
