  • Summary: It's June 6th, 1944, and the war is in your hands. Step into the boots of OSS Operative John Berg and infiltrate Normandy from behind enemy lines to undermine the Nazi regime. Choose to tackle all-new missions in traditional single player campaign or engage in massive, 32-player online, continuous-joining multiplayer battles where you can jump into the battle at any time. The Wii version also features full support of the Wii Zapper, allowing for a more immersive WWII action than ever. In addition to a full-fledged single player campaign, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 also features an all-new mode designed specifically for the Wii that simplifies gameplay for players of all skills levels for easy pick-up-and-play action. This mode plays like an old-school rail shooter - the Wii moves you around, while you do your part - taking enemies out and achieving objectives. [Electronic Arts] Expand

  1. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that aside from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (which isn’t really an FPS), Medal Of Honor 2 Heroes is the Wii’s definitive FPS experience. It successfully caters to all audiences, from kids to adults, casual gamers to hardcore ones and new school online fans and old school players alike.
  2. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 isn’t going to win awards for being groundbreaking or innovating. But if you’re a Wii owner looking forward to running down some Germans using your new Wii Zapper or just want a good, old-fashioned run-and-gun shooter, then this is your game.
  3. A really enjoyable shooter, stripped down to play fast and furious across three very different modes. [Issue#21, p.78]
  4. Although Heroes 2 provides some great variety and challenge while adding some real meat to the online experience, it is still another WWII shooter. Don't put your expectations too high, but don't dismiss this game, either.
  5. The good implementation of the Wii Zapper, the Arcade extra and easy to get into online mode are its high points. On the other hand, the production values are obsolete, level design is dull, and the AI is utterly dumb.

Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is not a bad game in the way that Midway's Hour of Victory is a bad game, but it is most definitely bland, dull, uninteresting, and yet further proof (if any was needed) that EA is still reticent to relinquish its grip on the profit-turning safety of established franchise titles in order to expand upon those mainstay releases with a much-needed infusion of invention and ambition.
  7. An FPS aimed at the lowest common denominator of players. It’s as though this game was precisely calculated to meet the exact average of gameplay.

One of the best FPS on the Wii before The Conduit comes out. 32-player online and massive control customization make this a truly awesome shooter.

The best FPS on the Wii - and with 32 player multiplayer! Vastly customizable controls and well designed levels make this a really fun shooter.

Great game! The single player campaign is okay, but the online is what really makes the game awesome. It has a good variety of weapons and maps, and the fact that you can have 32 people in one match makes it more intense. Games like Call of Duty of Duty and Halo 3 only have 16 and 18 player online. If you have a Wii and want a good FPS, this is the game to go for. Expand

This is definitely a turning point for Wii third-party games. I haven't gotten past the 3rd level of the single-player campaign because multiplayer is always calling :) Better enemy AI would net this game a 9 or 10; still though a must buy for FPS fans. Expand

Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is the best FPS for the wii simply because it uses the wii controls to its advantage. A very fun game that was worth the ten bucks Expand

Don't buy this game hoping for it to be Wiis version of COD 4. You'll only end up disappointed. It has to be the worst online multiplayer i've ever played. It only has 3 generic game modes and 6 boring maps. The worst part is the weapons. Fair enough they are balanced but only because they are SO POOR. they are either way to slow to fire (the STG 44) or faster than a modern day SMG such as a MP5 (the MP40) this wouldn't matter if they werent so weak. It takes over a whole clip to kill someone with a MP40 sometimes, making the game so frustating when everyone just uses one hit kill grenades and shotguns. The weapon sights are so hard to use as well making it impossible to do long range kills without a sniper rifle. I know these are WW2 guns, but COD 2s weapons were FAR more enjoyable to use. It is also hard to tell whose on your team in a teamdeath match and thegame doesn't tell you if you are hitting your enemies like in games such as COD and Battlefield which annoys me as you don't know whether your shooting is effective or not. The generic campaign which is nowhere near as good as COD 3s is probably better than the online. The multiplayer is just so frustating, im usually good at FPS online such as COD, but i suck at this. The only reason to buy it is if you crave an online FPS but only have a Wii. Im only giving it a six, as it is one of the only decent online options on the Wii, but it will be pointless when another comes out. The controls aren't that great, i prefer COD 3s, which still arent as good as PC controls. This is proof online FPS don't work on the Wii. If you want an online a WW2 shooter with great controls play COD 2 on PC. Expand

This is the worst wii game in my opinion. - This series hasn't improved on much since it started. - The visuals are horrible, and the weapons sound like toys. - There is no split screen multiplayer. - The arcade mode isn't fun. - The online play is insanely imbalanced, and as usual it's a Wii game which blindfolds it's players. I hate to say it was a complete waste of my time and money, but it was. Expand
