In addition, not only can gamers enjoy all aspects of Armageddon with the Wii-mote, but the GameCube and Classic Controller as well. Appearing for the first time on consoles, Armageddon features an enhanced Endurance Mode, allowing gamers to test their true fighting stamina. Select from more than 60 characters from the Entire Mortal Kombat Fighting Universe: From Liu Kang to Shang Tsung to Shao Kahn, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon features more playable fighters than any other Mortal Kombat game to date. For the first time in a Mortal Kombat game players can use a Kreate-A-Fighter feature to create and define their fighter's look, abilities and personality with a deep level of customization and take that unique fighter online. Fans now have the ability to create their own custom fatalities by stringing together a series of attacks via a series of button combos; those that prove worthy can take their very own death moves online to showcase to the world. Mortal Kombat Armageddon is the most feature-rich version of the series to date, not to mention the best fighting game currently available on Nintendo’s newest console.
  2. Even though it lacks an abundance of new content, its Wii-sensitive control set-up and additional content do enough to keep the blood pumping -- fighting fans will find bloody satisfaction with Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
  3. The Wii handles violent OTT theatrics like no other console, but a fresh game would have been much appreciated. [July 2007, p.48]
  4. All of the basic attacks have been moved to the Wii remote's d-pad, which is awkward enough by itself. The bigger change is that the special moves are now associated with controller movements. [June 2007, p.113]
  5. To me Armageddon still is an enjoyable game, but is still one that does require a lot of patience to get into the controls and the game itself.

This one doesn’t redefine the fighter genre, but it’s still a fun Wii fighter that interested players can enjoy if they’re willing to put up with some small problems here and there.
  7. As much hype as the gesture system has generated, using the Wiimote to play a fighting game designed for a standard interface just doesn't work. [June 2007, p.80]

if you liked the old school mortal kombat games, this is the zenith. the only drawback i would say the game has is the generic nature of the fatalities. I would prefer each player having their own signature move, but there ARE a lot of characters, and it might have gotten to be a bit much to expect THAT many unique fatalities.

Despite the fact The issue about MK Armageddon on the Wii is: Do the Wii controllers suit a fighting game? The answer is: Surprisingly, YES. Despite the fact that I was really concerned that it wouldn´t work at all, the wiimote+nunchuk not only allow you to perform the supermoves in a easier way, but they also make combos (performed on the + pad) quite simple. Furthermore, excluse to the Wii, you can play the aggressive SUVIVAL mode, which was a really welcome add. MK Armageddon is definitely a very nice fighter. Expand

Its fantastic fun As LONG AS you have sumone to play it with. You will eventually tire of the single player modes but the vast number of characters, coupled with the excellent gameplay and decent implementation of the unique wii controls all adds up to create a multiplayer feast for the senses. Every now and again you may be annoyed by the graphical flaws but those moments will be few and far between. Get some friends and this game rocks! Expand
