I'm a huge NASCAR fan so I had high hopes for this one. It's been okay. The gameplay is pretty good. The controls are responsive. And that all about all I can say thats too good. One huge downfall is that there is no talking in the game. All the cutscenes are written words with some mindless jibberish being said in the background. And to top it all off the jibberish is usually in this accent that makes them all sound like straight up hillbillys. Alot of you may say they are all hillbillys. While most of them are, some of them are not. One more downfall is that there are times when you will get hit with 3 or 4 weapons at once. Yes, this does make the game challenging it also makes it annoying for people with short tempers (i..e. me). Other than that, my 4 year old played it and has no problem winning the occasional race. 1. It's not about to bump Mario Kart from the pole position, but NASCAR Kart Racing is a surprisingly solid effort. [Feb 2009, p.90]

After expecting a rush-job cash-in of a Wii racing game, I was pleasantly surprised that the game within NASCAR Kart Racing was a solid and fun me-too Mario Kart clone.
  3. Even though NASCAR Kart Racing may not be the most innovative racer on the market, that shouldn't turn you away. The game is an unabashed "Mario Kart" clone that, while not looking nearly as good, plays almost exactly the same.
