  • Summary: NCAA Football 09 All-Play debuts on the Wii with stylized gameplay that is quick and easy for fans to jump in and out of great head-to-head action. The game features All-Play controls, a multiplayer social experience that allows novice users to compete against advanced players and still enjoy success. All-Play controls are designed for the more novice fans, but also feature a traditional default setting for the more seasoned veterans. NCAA Football 09 All-Play features nearly 200 schools. 1. More than half of the usual NCAA modes are missing.

With things like multiplayer mini-games removed, no online, no create-a-payer, no create-a-team, a shaved down (last year’s) Dynasty Mode, Shrine, or Campus Legend modes. This is less a full NCAA game, and more a demo of possible years to come.
  3. All the hype of the new NCAA football game from EA SPorts seemed almost too good to be true, and we've learned that our instincts were right, unfortunately. [Sept 2008, p.88]
  4. A weak attempt at making college football more accessible to the much-exaggerated, casual Wii demographic. Most players will find this game utterly dull and a waste of their time and money. This is a title that should only be purchased for very young gamers.

This game is probably not for the full-time gamer, but for my 7 year old part-timer, absolute perfection. His knowledge of football stategy, formations, etc was very limited, but he is now a blitzing, play-calling wizard! I found this website accidentally while looking for some tip to slowing down his passing game. In a nutshell, we have been very happy with this game and recommend to others, especially those with smaller children with an interest, but limited football knowledge. Expand

Generic stadiums with empty sidelines, clunky controls, & lame touchdown celebration gimmick. Having been a faithful EA NCAA Football Fan in the past, this version is very disappointing. It's been so good for so long I never thought they'd screw it up. EA- drop the All Play and go back to what made these games so good for so long.

PS-Did an EA bigwig graduate from Mich. St.? I wasn't aware that they were relevant enough to be the cover team.

This gets a four just because I love college sports. This game seems like it was made for six year olds. I know the wii is great for younger users but the makers have to realize that adults enjoy sports games much more. All of the fun things about NCAA football games has been taken out of this one. If their goal was to create the worse football game for its time, then congratulations. Expand
