JonathanCarrierAug 6, 20097It took 10 years for this to finally come out and it's mostly good. The music is colorful and vibrant, the worlds are graphically beautiful, If only the whole game was so well done. The missions get repetitive, the voice acting is awful, and the online is pretty lackluster. Still it's an enjoyable sequel to the original.

Mr.B.Dec 21, 20079Great graphics, great music, lots of fun. It sucks you can't skip the cut scenes, but they're kind of entertaining. Don't listen to the haters. Get this game!

KevinG.Dec 23, 20076A potentially wonderful game severely flawed by rushed programming and unnecessary gameplay elements. NOT what you were hoping for after an 11-year wait, but maybe Sonic Team can take all the criticisms to heart and do things right the next time around. Just don't wait another 11 years, please.

It'd be easy to write this one off as child's play, but it has a hidden depth that reveals itself over time. [Jan 2008, p.80]

This was obviously a labor of love for the development team--something that goes beyond the nuts and bolts of typical game design. [Jan 2008, p.86]

80Nights: Journey of Dreams delivers a second dose of the classic, 2D meets 3D gameplay that made the original Nights a success. It has its share of flaws – the lack of innovation is surprising, and the motion controls are the worst of the bunch. But as a whole, Journey of Dreams is a great adventure.
