This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, crap.I never thought of reviewing a NES game, but I have to.So what's this game about?Well, you play the role of Ryu Hayabusa,or something....gosh,the names are horendes, but the game is ALOT of fun. But,at the same time it's HARD AS ****!Of course,I beaten the game...barely...anyho,you come to 'MURICA to avange your fathers death. This is the first game to introduce cutscenes,I think. They were epic.But.lets get deeper in this piece of art that has stolen many hours of our lives.

    So graphics.They are nice,for the most part.Sometimes you won't know what some stuff is,but you'll figure out....hopefully...

Okay, the gameplay. The gameplay is fast and fluid.Nothing else to say about it tho'.Unless, you wanna hear about the sword. It's kinda like Castlevania, but I like NG more. However, there are many power ups, like shurikens or some magic that lets you fire fire balls, which are pretty good for the last boss,FORM 2 to be more specific. The game is made in a linear style gameplay. And thats why I like it the best.Duh.And there's a time limit which somehow always run out on me...well,not on the first two stages...And that's why there's ALOT of trial 'n' error.ALOT.

Story. As I said its more or less a revenge themed game. You collect some statues that when combined awaken a demon. And damn he's hard. Then you find your father. Then he dies for real. After you beat the game,Ryu and the other I can't remember name of,get together.Mediocore story, but the cutscenes make it even BETTER!So in short.Tecmo did a GREAT job here. *cheers*

And there ya have it.A short review.I honestly don't know what to talk about this game. But if you have the balls of steel, and you don't use passwords or saves (yup, this game doesn't have a save feature),this is the game for you.Good luck.I needed it.

One of the biggest masterpieces in gaming. A great game in the NES library. It is a great game... with great difficulty. The only problem is you keep sticking to walls when half the time you don't want to. Expand

The game that started it all... kind of. This NES adaptation of the arcade original is quite different from the source material, but as the Angry Video Game Nerd reminded us -- it is REALLY REALLY HARD. Good luck. Download this if you think you're amazing or if the modern iterations of Gaiden don't challenge you enough. Collapse
