- Summary: No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle continues the tale of punk anti-hero Travis Touchdown, the Japanese anime Otaku, and pro wrestling-obsessed assassin. Travis finds himself at the bottom of the UAA (United Assassins Association) rankings and must wage war to become the No. 1 assassin once again. The follow-up to the popular No More Heroes will offer fans infectious, fun gameplay that allows you to wield not just one, but two swords and face multiple bosses simultaneously in bigger-than-ever boss battles. 10No More Heroes 2 is freaking epic! A lot of video games these days lack the personality of NMH2. Travis Touchdown is quirky, tough, and downright funny. The bosses are all spectacular and deliver great dialogue. I was excited every time I encountered one. The open world from the first game was taken away and replaced with a menu based interface. I have no complaints about that as you get to go here and there really quickly (I will miss collecting stuff though). The whole story is great and really funny. The combat has been improved and now you get to double wield a pair of beam katanas. No More Heroes 2 is a great game that proves serious gamers can have fun on the Wii (you also want to check out MadWorld). I give it a 9.75!… Collapse
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle brings back Travis Touchdown, a wrestling and anime obsessed otaku, whose position in the UAA has been reset to rank 51. With the goal being of course to slash your way through the bosses and achieve the coveted rank 1 position... again.
The game is more streamlined than the first, with a greater focus on the story than the fights themselves, which is a pity, since now a lot of the stuff that gave the first game it's distinct personality is gone or changed. I miss the messages from Diane from the video store asking for whatever porno Travis had overdue back and I miss the free roaming city that, while empty, at least looked cool and let you ride the sweetest bike ever all you want.
However, this doesn't make this a bad game in the least, just a different one; I still had a ton of fun playing it, and I much prefer some of the changes made to the game, and so I recommend that anyone who's played the first No More Heroes to get this game.… Expand
7No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle represents an old-school game with a lot of blood and sexual innuendos. The story is very simple Travis is thrown back into the rankings and must fight to become number 1 yet again. That way to the top is filled with many boss fights that are sometimes brutal on higher difficulties. The presentation is still as wacky as the game's characters, like when you save your game Travis goes to the bathroom for a nice long save. The gameplay is simple but effective, it is basically a button masher at heart but it has some variety throughout. The gameplay is bloody and the jokes are crude so No more Heroes 2 is more No More Heroes and that is a good thing.… Expand
marcC3I was going to give this game a solid 10 but for the absurd difficulty on shinobus mission in sweet mode. Im giving it a 3 Yeah it starts off great but in shinobus first mission in the game after you battle bad guys you have to destroy things to take out beams that block your progress you have all the time in the world and no eemies are coming at you but there is one device on a wall I can not hit with my range attack or upclose It takes several trys to jump from the perch you can climb onto to the perch accross from this final one and even when your accross from it your to low to hit it with a range attack and you cant reach it So apparently you have to jump at it and hit or So I was reading but I just can't do it. ALso you think your gonna get to fight 50 people cause after you beat the first guy your told your ranked number 51 But then you fight number 50 and 24 of hiss groupies all at once as one on one battle you win and are now ranked 25 after 2 more battles 4 in total your ranked 23 your told you will fight 12 opponenets but you only fight one opponent And I guess something happened to the other 11 cause all of a sudden you are ranked number 11 or 10 Yeah I forgot the ranking Then comes the shinobu mission which starts off awesome but reaches a point where you wish there was an easier mode than sweet. Yeah I don't mind getting my butt kicked by one of the bad guys but when I get my butt kicked by a puzzle well thats just annoying.… Expand
