The comedy, while basic, actually had us laughing a few times through the game, and even though the story and character designs from the film are amazingly cookie-cutter, the game offers a few high points for anyone with little tikes in desperate need of some gaming goodness to go with the afternoon flick.
  2. Open Season was a mediocre adventure game on the GameCube, and it's even worse on the Wii thanks to the cruddy controls and higher price tag.

Save your money and take your kid to the zoo.
  4. It's a perfect game for young children learning how to use the Wii, but outside of that, even the most die-hard platformer enthusiast may have a hard time sticking with it till the end. [Feb 2007, p.69]
  5. What it lacks more than anything is enjoyable gameplay. There’s no thrill attached to the empty "hide and sneak" gameplay, and the uneven motion controls derail the potentially blissful "Wild Ride" missions.

The Open Season game for the Nintendo Wii does have some cool gameplay. The graphics are good. The controls, especially with motion controls, are pretty bad . Full Review »
