  1. If you're on a budget, or just don't have access to a DS, then this is a fine way to sample its abundant charms, provided you don't expect anything special in the presentation department.
  2. Great value. [Mar 2010, p.75]
  3. It's nothing new, but it's still a fun story for less than half the price of the DS version.
  4. Phoenix Wright is welcome on WiiWare. It's a fantastic game and should be played by anyone that doesn't have the DS version. Otherwise, prefer the DS version.
  5. This WiiWare version of Phoenix Wright is basically a very lazy porting of the DS version, that stands on his legs just thanks to the quality of the gameplay.
  6. We keep liking Phoenix Wright, but this version is not as technically advanced as we expected, and you have to decide if the pleasure of enjoying the story compensates that limitation.
  7. This new edition of Phoenix Wright is a lazy porting of the DS version of the game. The only new feature regards the use of the Wii remote in a couple of occasions, and it's a shame that Capcom didn't dare to do more than this. Anyway, the game is still good, and it's a perfect investment for those who never played Phoenix Wright before.
  8. This edition of Phoenix Wright is a "basic port" of the DS version of the game. The game mechanics is excellent, not the presentation.
  9. An absolutely terrible version of an enduringly excellent game that has no business being on the Wii.

This port gets an F for effort, but that might not be enough for me to not recommend it -- the game is still good. But I'm definitely not going to praise Capcom for what little work the company did to bring it to console.
  11. I do hope to see Phoenix eventually make a worthwhile appearance on consoles, one that lives up to the great legacy the series has now built up for itself. This one, though, isn't a crowning achievement for Capcom, and throwing your money at the game will probably only serve to send the wrong message to the publisher.
  12. Phoenix Wright's back with his first adventure, the original that we saw a few years ago in GameBoy Advance and later on Nintendo DS. It's exactly the same story without anything new on the gameplay system besides the use of the wiimote instead of the stylus in order to find clues and other stuff to solve the cases we must deal with. Buy it only if you haven't tried to other versions of it.
  13. As a low-resolution port of a last-gen game with barely any Wii Remote functionality tacked on, were this any other game we would be all too happy to drop the score further. But it barely escapes contempt of our court on the strength of its enjoyable storytelling which is, after all, some of the most entertaining dialogue available on any console.

The only reason to buy this game, is that it's 30 euro cheaper than the Nintendo DS version. And that's only when you are an Ace Attorney fan.

From what I played, It is a good port. It isn't upgraded at all, but that isn't much of a problem. If you have the game on the DS, then don't bother getting this. Otherwise, this is a must buy. Full Review »
