  • Summary: Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk is an arcade style air combat, set in a futuristic universe. The game is designed to quickly immerse players in scenarios of non stop combat. Pilot a wide variety of aircraft and earn points for a chance to fly top secret planes equipped with devastating weapons. Your missions will all be unique and challenging so you'll need the right stuff to be a true Rebel Raider. Collapse

  1. Players could live with the low-rent production if that meant enjoying great controls and balanced shooting levels. A little less sensitivity in the steering, a little more challenge from the rival planes, and an easier way to target enemy guns would have provided this.

Rebel Raiders is just another quick port over to Wii, as XS games is out to make a few bucks on a title that, quite frankly, wasn't worth the cash on the systems it was ported over from. Controls are tacked on and anything but fluid, with even games like Heatseeker and Blazing Angels doing a better job in their own respective shovelware glory.
  3. As I reflect on Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk, I'm left trying to decide if the game does anything right. But the more I think about it, the more the game proves itself as nothing more but simple shovelware.
  4. Rebel Raiders takes dull, mindless air combat action into the danger zone.
