Although it wasn't the most complete Soul Calibur game I've ever played, the Wii controls, the multiplayer modes, and the storyline make it worth playing for fans of the series.
At last, Namco Bandai tells the legend behind Soul Calibur with a long and funny game which has also a bad approach due to an unlucky linear gameplay, very simple visuals and a dangerous lack of variety. Soulcalibur Legends isn't as good as its predecessors but it's still an enjoyable and interesting "beat 'em up" fighting game.

I love this game. I recently got a secondhand Wii. It has 40 odd games and some classics like Mario Galaxy etc.. But which game do I like to play most? This one. Soul Calibur has easy to pick up and responsive controls- the onscreen sword responds very well to the wii remote and num chuck.
The graphics are good, I found the story quite lightweight but entertaining. It is a good workout to play- I finish after a 20 minute session with a light sweat from swinging the remote about so much.
As a 32 year old gamer I have played a lot of serious PC games and have lately come to appreciate the casual fun that a fun sword swinging game like this offers.
I would give it 8 but seeing as how this game has so many miserable ratings I am upping it to 10 to push the meta up a bit. Enjoy!

Es muy difícil acordarse de un juego que jugaste hace 13 años, pero tengo buen recuerdo, buen hack and slash mezclado con aventuras. Como spin-off, era interesante cuánto menos.

It's Soulcalibur if it were a repetitive hack-and-slash endeavor without many of the fighters that fans adore. Die-hards may be compelled to play for the unlockables, but if you've never played Soulcalibur before, don't start now.
Soulcalibur: Legends offers some unique ideas and could have been a great step for the Soul Calibur franchise, but as it stands now, the game doesn't feel complete.
This is not what we expected from Soul Calibur's Wii debut. What a misguided step for Namco's revered series. [Issue#19, p.72]
Soul Calibur Legends isn’t a horrible game; it just doesn’t add anything exciting or new to a third person action adventure genre. It’s over relatively fast and it feels more like an unlockable to the original Soul Calibur than a standalone full priced videogame.
Legends imply greatness; but Soul Calibur Legends is only the greatest loser -- a throwaway hack-and-slash action game. Unattractive, lacking depth, and generally not fun, this dull blade can't parry its long list of flaws with anything worthwhile.
This is not the best game in the world, but for sure is not as bad as people make it out to be. Soulcalibur Legends is no different from the very successful series Dynasty Warriors, the only problem Legends has is the often unresponsive motion controls and horrible camera; but one can get used to that easily once one learns how the game tends to read the controls. The story itself and characters aren't half bad, and offer something fresh to Soulcalibur in general. This isn't a bad game, I've played way worse. Everybody is just overreacting.

I'm not opposed to the idea of a single player SoulCalibur game, but the execution here could have used more work. While it does give you a fine cast of playable characters (Siegfried, Sophitia, Ivy, Mitsurugi, Taki, Astaroth, and Tales of Symphonia's Lloyd Irving), they all play the same given that the way you play is by waggling the Wiimote. It looks nice, but that's really the only thing SC Legends has going for it.

Soulcalibur Legends is a generic, repetitive and unspectacular hack-n-slash spin off to the popular Namco 1 on 1 seventeenth century fighting series. Graphics are comparable to mid PS2 era but the frame rate does maintain a refreshing 60FPS making the game very smooth to play. Soulcalibur Legends can be compared to various other Japanese fighting games which require you to kill hordes of enemies and not much else such as Dynasty Warriors and Ninja Gaiden. Combat is actually quite satisfying actually but are you prepared to maintain that satisfaction throughout 40 levels? It's an interesting departure from the usual shenanigans seen in the series but it really is not worth your time.

I secretly DO like this game but I'm writing this review for a general gamer and I can honestly say that the game's repetition will not bode well with them.
