Although it wasn't the most complete Soul Calibur game I've ever played, the Wii controls, the multiplayer modes, and the storyline make it worth playing for fans of the series.
-
70While it doesn’t do anything criminal it also fails to do more than coast by on its laurels. The motion controls work better than any other game of this type and the visuals, while not stunning, are technically proficient and impressive.
-
There's certainly potential here, albeit squandered (in my opinion) on the Wii where like so many of its games, the hook--waving the Wiimote--is more curse than cool. [Dec 2007, p.81]
-
This is not what we expected from Soul Calibur's Wii debut. What a misguided step for Namco's revered series. [Issue#19, p.72]

ScottW.8Good game let down by only a coupe of flaws, it's still good solid fun.

[Anonymous]5Very repetitive, doesn't take too long to become boring.
