  1. Sadly no way to take your creations online but a great single player platform adventure game where you imagination is it's limits.
  2. Spore Hero is fun for the most part, but a few frustrating annoyances mean it falls just short.
  3. Spore Hero has some great features. The monster-making in and of itself is deep and satisfying, and engaging. There are tons of body parts, and the manner in which players will earn them through the quests has the potential to keep players questing away. Unfortunately, the battles and dancing games aren't nearly as well-designed, and cannot be avoided. Best for older children who aren't easily frustrated.
  4. Although with some quite good ideas, the final result is a bit disappointing. It has a design which ends up becoming repetitive, and not so well made combats.

Even with the problems I’ve had in my time with Spore Hero I didn’t hate the game. The adventure offered enough encouragement to plow through thanks to the fun loving creatures you encounter along the way, and the sense of customizing to turn the main character into nearly anything you want.
  6. If you're looking to have some fun using the main characteristics of the original Spore, 'Hero' won't disappoint you, but don't expect anything like the PC version because you won't find it in here.
  7. It's hard to do justice to a game that doesn't even do justice to itself. Spore Hero is nothing but a good example on how to exploit a franchise in the cheapest way possible. Uneven gameplay, stupid camera controls and ridden with boring puzzles and even more boring duels does not make a good children's game. You need more than bright colors to fool us EA.

Bought that for my kids, it is simply amazing! Great graphics, lots of fun to play, discover parts, and the creature editor is A LOT of fun! You parent should definitely get that for your kids! (mines are 7 & 9). Expand

Best game on the Wii this year, hands down. Very impressive creature creator and animation system running on the Wii.

I think it's a pretty good game for my kids. I prefer the fact that there's no online sharing because it's safer in a way. Colorful and fun game to keep them busy at home. I recommend it if you have young children! Expand

I was disappointed with this game. Once more the Wii dumb down another amazing game. If you were expecting to find similarities to the PC you won't find it here. Spore hero really limited the players creativity. It took me only 6-7hours to beat this game my first time through. I wish I could get my $50 back. Expand

the game starts out promising, and ends by delivering the opposite of what it promised. GAMEPLAY: The worst part of the game. The motion controls are not utilized in very unique or innovative ways, in fact, it feels like they were making this for the PS2, but then decided to switch to the Wii last minute and did a haphazard job at mapping the actions to motion controls. The game feels like it has a very bad start, and when you're beginning to hope that it picks up later on, it ends, and I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing. The only good part is the creature creation, and even that is limited. It has a pretty nice feature that allows you to save many different designs, for those who get all nostalgic about their monsters, but that along with the creature creation really is the only good thing in here, everything else is either mediocre or abysmal. MUSIC: Okay, I change my mind, THIS is the worst part of the game. The music is not only a failed attempt to try and immerse you into this games somewhat interesting world, but it also sounds like it was made by a middle school kid on an electronic keyboard (well, most of them). GRAPHICS: Nothing notable, interesting aesthetics and movies, but everything else is bland. STORY: Well, it's a kids game. Overall, only get it if your kids are really young, because only they will be able to enjoy it, but don't forget to only buy it used. Expand
