  1. Exploring multiple island locations is a natural progression, and the action continues unfettered.

If you enjoyed Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, then The Siege of Spinner Cay is an essential purchase.
  3. The Siege of Spinner Cay feels like a rerun of the first chapter. It's not better or worse and the principle and tone are comparable. The third chapter at last promises a twist, at least that's what the closing scene shows. And that's a good thing, because five times the same thing would get tedious.
  4. So far, the story is great, the puzzles are wonderful, and the script represents some of the best writing in the industry.

Telltale has another solid outing in this episode, and it's cool to see the story start to come together. Plus, the next episode looks to have a completely cool and unexpected setting, so we're looking forward to seeing where this all goes. It's just too bad Telltale can't get these games running well on the Wii.
  6. The Siege of Spinner Cay feels better than the first chapter in nearly every aspect, so even if it still has its problems, fans should give it a try.
  7. As is the case with most multi-part games and stories, Chapter 2 of Tales of Monkey Island doesn't really do much interesting stuff in terms of story progression. It plays exactly the same as the first chapter, just with different puzzles, so if you enjoyed that, you'll most certainly enjoy this.
  8. The adventure genre seems safe from dying out completely for now, as the second chapter of Tales of Monkey Island continues the laugh-out-loud, hilarious and whimsical adventures of Guybrush Threepwood.
  9. The Siege of Spinner Cay will tide you over, but it won't blow you away.
  10. A fun second chapter, though not quite up to the standard of the first.
