Tiger Woods 10 on the Wii is the definitive golf game. Beyond the high level of immersion from the Motion Plus controls, and the many months worth of entertaining game modes, this version welcomes the widest ever audience to a "sim" sports game. EA is leveraging the Wii perfectly.
  2. A fantastic sports title that every Wii owner should try out. Sound and graphics aside, this game is one of the best sports titles ever released.

With the addition of MotionPlus, Woods 10 on the Wii is a fantastic golfing videogame, besting its console counterparts because of its control options, extra courses, party game modes, and Frolf. Not to mention, it's casual friendly for anyone to play, but with enough difficulty options for the hardcore to stay interested. It's almost hard to imagine it getting better than this for the foreseeable future.
  4. EA deserves a ton of credit for delivering not only the best golf game ever (on any console,) but a definitive Wii experience to be placed alongside the best first-party titles on the console.
  5. The Wii MotionPlus definitely makes the game. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 might not have been as good of a game without the added control sensitivity and accuracy, but now it has evolved to the point that I can't imagine another golf game without it.
  6. Wii MotionPlus is a great boon to the Wii version of Tiger - the game is merely a [70] without it. [July 2009, p.82]
  7. 75
Casual players might prefer to stick to its Wii Sports equivalent, but PGA Tour 10 is undoubtedly the definitive golf videogame for fans of the sport, offering a level of control and nuance that hasn't been achieved before in sports games.

Love this game! But so SICK OF THE QUITTERS that somehow have figured out a way to give me the loss because I don't have a choice but to shut down the system after they do so. So tired of this, my most recent !@#$hole user MedalMan. Just tired of my rank going down after winning. Anyone help me with this??? Thanks Expand

Here's my initial impressions of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the Wii with motion plus..... I have to say I had really high hopes for this years Tiger Woods game because of the M+, and it honestly has surpassed all of my expectations. This is is MUST BUY for all Wii Owners, and the version to purchase for all multi console owners. TW10 is without a doubt the best golf game I have ever played. M+ makes it very realistic & completely immersive. M+ perfectly reads what you are doing. Take putting for example. For the first time in a TW Wii game putting works just like real life. My first putt, I swung a bit harder than you would in "real life", and my ball shot across the green. It very accurately tracks whether you are taking a long or short putt. You can either look at the onscreen meter, or just swing like you would in real life. Follow through really matters too. The aiming with the M+ is perfect, the worst feature of last years Tiger is now perfectly executed. 2009 putting is still available (not like you would WANT to use it), but with motion plus, just select precision putting instead of standard and you will be amazed. The swing mechanic? Wow. Taking a shot feels, well....natural. M+ works so much better than any of the previous versions, the accuracy is almost scary. When driving, the harder you swing, the farther the ball goes. Hit at 50% power with a slight fade, that's what you get. Power swing with a draw? You actually having to worry about both your backswing and power/follow through in a golf video game. And if you don't know how to do those things in real life, the tutorial is concise and explains the basics of it all in few short (2 minute) lessons. Motion+ makes the gameplay jump lightyears beyond any other golf game ever made. The gameplay certainly leaves the more visually stimulating versions(PS360PC) far behind. The weather on the course you are playing is based on real time weather at the actual course location, which TW checks from the Wii's weather channel. And the amount of content in this game boggles the mind. Most content packed Tiger Woods game ever. Included are almost every golf related activity you could imagine, this will keep you busy for a LONG time. Online Modes include: *Online play: both simultaneous play & real time tournaments, daily and weekly. Traditional Modes include: *Quick Play *PGA Tour *Fed-X Cup *Tournament Challenge (play against some of the toughest challenges in golf history) *Stroke Play *Match Play *Bloodsome *Greensome *Skins *Stableford *Alternate Shot *Best Ball *Four Ball Arcade Modes Include: *Disc Golf (available for ALL 27 courses) *Rings *Elimination Mode *One-Ball *Team One-Ball *Battle Golf Mini Games *Mini Putt (Putt Putt) *Target *T-I-G-E-R *Capture the Flag *Target2Target I have only tried the disc golf, but it really shows off the M+. I tried throwing it traditionally, straight up, straight down, backhand and I have to say it works very well. Lots of fun. Gets me excited for Wii Sports Resort!! 2 other points of interest: There will be downloadable content in the future. If you are playing local multiplayer, you can play with a "Pass the Wii remote" mode until you get more M+ attachments. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a good golf game. It's brilliant. The 27 included courses: New for 10: 1. Banff Springs ( Stanley Thompson 18 ) 2. Bethpage ( Black ) 3. Hazeltine National C.C. 4. Oakmont C.C. 5. Pinehurst ( Course #2 ) 6. Torrey Pines G.C. best sports game i've ever played. contends for best wii game. motionplus works. the putting on precision putting is very similar to real life putting. i played the game for a couple hours and went out and played a real life round following; the putting is very well accomplished by EA. Expand

From my initial impressions of the game, it is fantastic, like the consensus has said. It's great as a game by yourself, or with friends, and anyone can play. From gamers to non-gamers, serious golfers to those who hate the game, the different degrees of how involved the swing and real golf games with fun mini-games can add a care-free atmosphere that makes it enjoyable for all. The Motion Plus definitely seals the deal for the game. If you're going to buy the game, then invest in at least two Motion Plus accessories. Make sure to get the game that is bundled with one Motion Plus for just $10 more. Another one by itself is $25. Wii games are moving in the direction of Motion Plus, for obvious reasons, so you should go ahead and get some now. I didn't give the game a 10 because I've found a few minor problems with the game that keep it from being perfect: (1) Occasionally when I've changed my aim for a shot and taken a practice swing, it will reset to the default aiming location, and put the default club selection back if I changed clubs. (2) It's very hard to find an accurate and consistent range of making your swing power between 40% and 65%. EA's programming with the Motion Plus is great, but still needs improvement. (3) When playing a multiple-round tournament, the scores are unrealistic. For example, I once played a great (and lucky) first round and finished with a 9 under par as the leader, with two or three opponents tied for second at 6 under. When I started the next round, there were two opponents at 17 under, meaning they both had rounds of at least 11 under. This has happened more than once. I understand the incentive to make it challenging, but don't take the realism away from the game. (4) It feels like the pro shop has less choices of apparel and clubs than they did a few years ago in the Tiger Woods series. (5) They need to work out the announcing issues. In one round, I hear "Now this is a rare gem" at least 7 or 8 times. Bottom line: Is it fun? Definitely. Will your friends and family enjoy it? They're crazy if they don't. Should you buy this game? If you're reading this, then you've got some interest in it because you clicked the link, so yes. Buy it. And at least two Motion Plus accessories to go with it. Enjoy. Expand

This is a fun game, but I actually enjoy it much more on the PS3. I have played it on both the Wii and PS3. The gameplay and graphics are better. The Tiger Woods games are the more realistic golfing game there is. Expand
