  1. EA show us that they are one of Wii’s greatest advocates. Tiger Woods 10 provides a sublime genre-defining experience. Just make sure you have MotionPlus!
  2. This isn't just the best Wii golf game we've played, but the best golf game we've played on any system.
  3. With an all-new play control scheme and several new bonus features, as well as an online mode that can keep you busy every single day, Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii is a must-have game for fans of golf, as well as for those Wii owners looking to learn how to play real golf.
  4. Wii MotionPlus delivers once more, turning the solid but flawed game into probably the best golf sim ever.
  5. With Motion Plus control proving a roaring success, Tiger Woods 10 is comfortably the most realistic golf sim out there. At times, it feels like this is precisely what the Motion Plus peripheral was made for and is a stunning demonstration of its potential. And for many sporting types, this will finally be the game that they bought a Wii for in the first place.
  6. An absolute corker of a golf game that will make owners of the Xbox and PS3 green with envy.
  7. With 27 courses, an entire army of game modes, create a player, PGA Tour Season, online head to head play, online tournaments, Play the Pros, frisbee golf, party modes, improved graphics, and the icing on the cake, Wii Motion Plus controls, there is no doubt that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is the best version of the game available on any console.
  8. A fantastic sports title that every Wii owner should try out. Sound and graphics aside, this game is one of the best sports titles ever released.

I don't often get the chance to say this, but here we have the combination of a development team at the top of their game, a technology that matches their requirements and a console in the perfect demographic. Out of this perfect storm comes the first game on the Wii I can whole heartedly endorse to anyone regardless of their age or gaming persuasion.
  10. At the end of the day, EA Sports have created a truly remarkable golfing game on the Wii that proves that the Wii is not just for casual or social gamers.
  11. 90
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for Wii is the definitive golf game. It's filled to the top with content, sports spectacular controls enhanced by MotionPlus, and includes great Disc Golf and online modes. Seriously, this is an amazing package made all the better by the peripheral pack- in.
  12. Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii is as close as you can get to a golf course without paying green fees.
  13. Given all the ways you can play it, as well as the superb MotionPlus controls, the Wii version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is easily the best one. MotionPlus is a definite must-have in order to get the most out of the game, though.
  14. The Wii MotionPlus definitely makes the game. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 might not have been as good of a game without the added control sensitivity and accuracy, but now it has evolved to the point that I can't imagine another golf game without it.
  15. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 isn’t the first perfect golf game, but it’s the closest anyone’s come yet. Despite some of the graphical hang-ups, and thanks to the immersive gameplay, EA has set a new bar for everyone to follow. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m late for my tee time.
  16. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be the reference for all the future games of the genre. Comparing it to other titles is impossible, due to the innovation and the possibilities implemented by the WiiMotion Plus. In addition there are a lot of options, the only downside being the graphics (good but no great). The WiiMotion Plus had convinced many critics, but now it appears absolutely essential.
  17. There is a ton of content packed into this latest Tiger Woods (including MotionPlus if you opt for the bundle) – so much, we didn’t have space to mention everything in our review. Three games in one, real-time weather, online play, and more.
  18. Across the game’s several innovative features, a common thread ensures Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10’s status as a landmark Wii title — from stunningly accurate motion controls to allowing players to compete with the pros, this game was made to be the most immersive golf game of all-time. And it is.
  19. Wii MotionPlus is a great boon to the Wii version of Tiger - the game is merely a [70] without it. [July 2009, p.82]
  20. If only the putting was more consistent. If it were, this would be as essential as "Grand Slam." [July 2009, p.80]
  21. 75
Casual players might prefer to stick to its Wii Sports equivalent, but PGA Tour 10 is undoubtedly the definitive golf videogame for fans of the sport, offering a level of control and nuance that hasn't been achieved before in sports games.
  22. 100
Tiger Woods 10 on the Wii is the definitive golf game. Beyond the high level of immersion from the Motion Plus controls, and the many months worth of entertaining game modes, this version welcomes the widest ever audience to a "sim" sports game. EA is leveraging the Wii perfectly.
  23. The addition of the Wii MotionPlus controller provides an incredibly realistic swing mechanic. That alone makes the purchase of Tiger Woods '10 for the Wii mandatory for anyone that has enjoyed previous versions but been frustrated by the lack of feel in the controller. You will not be disappointed!
  24. With everything there is to do in this game, I don't know why you'd need another golf game next year, or hell, ever.
  25. 91
With the addition of MotionPlus, Woods 10 on the Wii is a fantastic golfing videogame, besting its console counterparts because of its control options, extra courses, party game modes, and Frolf. Not to mention, it's casual friendly for anyone to play, but with enough difficulty options for the hardcore to stay interested. It's almost hard to imagine it getting better than this for the foreseeable future.
  26. While the PS3 and 360 versions have a substantial aesthetic edge, the Tiger 10 Wiilease is easily the most realistic of the three, allowing players of all abilities to seamlessly enjoy a proper round of golf or a party game together, proof - if ever any was needed - that with some considered creative design, inclusion on the Wii doesn't need to involve dumbing everything down for the benefit of the lowest common denominator.
  27. With excellent controls, a good amount of modes and a great gameplay experience, this Wii version scores better than its competitors. It's the best golf sim to date.
  28. We can't see it getting any better than this for quite some time. [Sept 2009, p.127]
  29. The latest iteration of the Tiger Woods franchise is as close to golfing perfection as you can come. There is a wealth of content to be found here, the controls work great and the overall atmosphere is great. If you're into golfing in any way this is a must buy.
  30. Authentic controls and a variety of play modes stand against merely changed gameplay and graphics. For fans and rookies!
  31. With the MotionPlus feature Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 gives you the most entertaining and advanced golf game experience ever. It’s level of realism gives every hole that extra touch which up’s both the excitement and the pure joy of golfing. Simply a must for every golfing gamer out there.
  32. EA has done a bang-up job this year and produced yet another "must have" sports game. If you are a golfing enthusiast, picking up Tiger Woods for the Wii is a no-brainer.
  33. An excellent golf game. It's all there: plenty of courses, long career mode and realistic swing control with robust MotionPlus-support. [July 2009]
  34. Last year's version was phenomenal, but the option to use the Wii MotionPlus accessory makes Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 the most authentic sports video game I've every played. [July 2009, p.90]
  35. In summary Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 features brilliant graphics with perfectly balanced controls, offers excellent value and most importantly is fantastically fun and addictive.
  36. 90
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 on the Wii breathes new life into the franchise. Everybody golf clap, Tiburon has created a very robust, non-boring golf game where sim meets sport in a scalable experience. WiiMotionPlus brings unparalleled immersion to a game brimming with content, and this Wii title earns its place among the greats as the Tiger game golf fans have to own.
  37. I honestly never thought I'd see the day where I would recommend a game on the Wii above its Hi-Def console counterparts, but it's genuinely here.
  38. Tiger Woods 10 with the motion plus, control wise, is really a leap forward in the genre that every fan of this sport should try. But keep in mind that without the new peripheral, the game is just a nice revision of the previous year version, in pure EA-style.
  39. In order to really appreciate the game at its fullest, you need to purchase the Bundle with the Wii MotionPlus add-on or obtain it some other way. You can still enjoy the game without the add-on, but you will not be getting the best experience and will envy those who are. Once you start playing it with it, you will wonder how you played any other golf game in the past.
  40. Add the MotionPlus and this is one of the best golf games ever. Knock off 20% without it. [Aug 2009, p.79]
  41. Warts and all, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is a revolution in the way golf games control. The new Wii MotionPlus controls are very good, but not amazing yet. If you can power through the early throes of career mode so your player is halfway decent, or are a huge fan of Disc Golf, then by all means pick up this game immediately. Just don't expect it to actually improve your golf swing.
  42. If golf's your game, this will keep you busy for ages. Decent new control modes, some good minigames, online play and real-time weather. [Aug 2009, p.70]
  43. 83
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is the best golf game of this moment, all because of the support of Wii MotionPlus! The accessory creates a challenging and realistic gameplay. We haven't been closer to a golf experience yet.
  44. EA deserves a ton of credit for delivering not only the best golf game ever (on any console,) but a definitive Wii experience to be placed alongside the best first-party titles on the console.

Love this game! But so SICK OF THE QUITTERS that somehow have figured out a way to give me the loss because I don't have a choice but to shut down the system after they do so. So tired of this, my most recent !@#$hole user MedalMan. Just tired of my rank going down after winning. Anyone help me with this??? Thanks Full Review »

Good game, not amazing, because a few things really let it down. Controls are great, but there have been some big advancements in the graphics for the courses. Water effects are much improved, as are some of the dodgy textures. Some of the jaggies here and there are awful though. The player models in particular are quite shocking.

Some major issues that need to be improved, before I will consider buying another one of these, or recommending it to people, esp casuals:

    1. Older courses are still hideous. They need a facelift to match the new ones.
    2. In multiplayer, you need the option to create and save multiple characters, so that when you have friends around they can play as themselves, with their own animations, with generic stats, all around the 80% mark etc. At the moment, you can only play as one of four saved profiles, or the real life players that come with the game, which my friends have found a bit lame. In two seperate cases it has stopped people I know buying the game. Can't believe they put in the useless 'golf party' and haven't done this yet.
    3. PAL versions do not run in 480P!!!! I was shocked to discover this. Why not?! this is pure laziness from EA, and extremely irritating.

Wanted to give this game more, but like I said, some things just really let it down.

For body movement workouts for us oldies it is great, with all the attributes, including the frustrations of a true to life game of golf. So any oldies out there get onto WII and get a reasonable movement fitness. It won't turn you into an "Arnie" but it will help with limbering up movement...... Full Review »
