Nov 30, 201073Ghost Recon for Wii is a basic third person shooter, surprisingly on rails. It features a good coop campaign, if you like Tom Clancy's franchise you won't be disappointed.
-
Dec 29, 201072A fun arcade shooter, despite some odd design choices. [Jan 2011, p.91]
-
Dec 19, 201072Mediocre in the grand scheme of things, but if you've already de-zombied your back catalogue you could do worse than enlist in Wii's other Ghost squad.
-
Dec 31, 201066A dumbed down on-rails shooter, albeit a half-decent one. [Christmas 2010, p.82]
-
Nov 27, 201060It's disappointing, especially given the depth of the other iterations, but this Ghost Recon has its charms. [Holiday 2010, p.89]
-
Nov 23, 201060It's not the best action game on Wii, but after all it's entertaining for some hours.
-
Nov 19, 201060Ghost Recon's shooting gallery action is shallow and repetitive, but it still manages to provide some entertainment.
-
Dec 27, 201048The problem with Ghost Recon on Wii lies in its concept: too simple to be part of the original series and too serious and pseudo-realistic to be a real, enjoyable on-rail shooter. An experimental mixture that just doesn't work.
-
Nov 30, 201048There's a campaign that lasts six hours and an arcade mode, but if the gameplay's no fun, why bother?
-
Nov 17, 201045This Wii shooter is hardly worthy of its namesake, delivering a predicable and ultimately forgettable shooter hampered by poor controls and uninspired level design. Let's hope Future Soldier has a more promising battle plan.
-
Jan 13, 201140The combination of the lackluster settings and tedious gameplay makes for a disappointing game. Straight up, Ghost Recon is just a pitiful rail shooter, and with the amount of other good rail shooters on Wii, there is no reason to even think about getting this game.
-
Dec 19, 201040Ghost Recon on the Wii feels like a cheap cash-in that takes no advantage of the console's strengths.
-
Nov 29, 201040It's not that the idea of pushing Ghost Recon into on-rails territory to make good use of the Wii's control setup is without merit -- other franchises have gone a similar route with great success. The problem is that it's executed so poorly that it feels like a cheap cash-in on the Ghost Recon name rather than an innovative twist that brings something new and exciting to the series.
-
Nov 29, 201040To be honest, we weren't really expecting any sort of surprise when booting up Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. The experience can remain nice when played casually, but only when you are two to enjoy it, and haven't played through all the others railshooters out there. There's probably a safest bet you haven't tried yet, though.
-
Nov 19, 201035One of the worst games that we've tried on Nintendo's platform - with a pathetic graphics engine, no internet options and a shameful script, be advised: keep some distance from this one.
-
Dec 19, 201030Really, do yourself a favor and forget this game exists. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon on the Wii fails to justify anything for the long-running military series with its bad gameplay and bland presentation. It's safe to say this is a ghost of its former self. Wait for Future Soldier.
-
Dec 12, 201030Ghost Recon re-imagined as the most boring Time Crisis clone imaginable, with a mix of genre and franchise that should never have happened.
-
Nov 17, 201030Players wanting an exciting, fast-paced, on-rails light gun shooter on the Wii are far better served by SEGA's Ghost Squad and House of the Dead: Overkill. The developer's failure to fully embrace the arcade approach ensures this game serves no-one, least of all its tired licence.
-
Nov 16, 201030Ghost Recon for Wii marks a low point for the series, and should be avoided by Wii owners and Tom Clancy completists alike.
-
Dec 2, 201025Ubisoft has had a great year with gems like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, R.U.S.E., No More Heroes 2, and Red Steel 2 to name a few – but the sooner this truly awful game is buried and forgotten the better.
-
Dec 19, 201020There's no good reason to have this game in your home.
