    Toribash can both please and repel the player. On one side, it is very different, technical and strategic; on the other, its control is not good enough, and the game pace, in practice, is slow and not very well carried.

    So know that if you're thinking of downloading Toribash and starting from scratch with the game, you're signing up for a long struggle before getting anywhere close to the level of mastery required to create anything impressive -- this isn't a game, it's a couple of lifeless puppets being handed over to you with the question, "Hey, kid, you wanna try?"

    While it throws you in the dark with virtually no idea whats going one, when you get something right in Toribash, it's immenesly staisfying. The problem being it shouldn't be staisfying- they should have had way more and better tutorials, and the complex battle system doesn't help. When it works it ace, when it doesnt, however- its still funny watching a puppet fall over drunkenly.… Expand
