  1. Terrible graphics, only pictures to unlock and an unnecessary multiplayer offers you this 5-hour shooter. Only suitable for fans of Transformers and those interested in the story.
  2. Surprisingly good. It's definitely not as great in the gameplay department as War for Cybertron, with a lot less to do and a far more restricted format, but its superior narrative and decent arcade action is at least enough to make it worth picking up on its own.
  3. Transformers is a funny "rail shooter" with nice graphics and four different weapons you can use to shot your enemies during two available campaigns. The problem is the game is way too easy, as you can finish it in a few hours. It also lacks any form of progression or power-ups.
  4. Despite the title, there's no adventuring to be found, and the story is surprisingly weak. [Sept 2010, p.90]
  5. While not a true companion to the Transformers titles released on the other consoles at the same time, TCA fails to meet its potential.
  6. Any gamer over the age of 15 will be sorely disappointed with ugly visuals, bland gameplay, and a confusing story.
  7. If you wanted to play with the newly designed Transformers but only have a Wii, go out and purchase a PS3 or Xbox 360 and a copy of War for Cybertron. You might be spending more money, but it will be well spent compared to this game.
  8. About as much fun as a Transformer that converts into a lump of coal. Give it a miss. [Sept 2010, p.99]
  9. Cybertron Adventures has way too many problems to be worth your time. The lackluster and unstable gameplay make the whole experience unfufilling.
  10. Repetitive, short, and uninteresting are good ways to describe the play experience found in Cybertron Adventures.

Where Transformers: War for Cybertron exceeded any expectations to become one of the best action games in recent memory, Cybertron Adventures is the culmination of decades of awful Transformers games and licensed titles in general.
  12. Earlier this year, I was pleasantly surprised by NERF: N-Strike Elite – a far better on-rails shooter than Cybertron Adventures is. And given that the Wii has so many other on-rails shooters like Dead Space Extraction and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, that there is no reason to waste your time and money on Transformers: Cybertron Adventures.
  13. Transformers: Cybertron Adventure is one adventure you will want avoid, even if you are a die-hard Transformers fan.
  14. Time Crisis with Transformers, but not any sense of pace, excitement or fun.
  15. You'd have more fun if you asked a professional wrestler to try to transform your skeleton into the shape of a moped. [Aug 2010, p.68]

Terrible, terrible game. I only had a Wii when War for Cybertron was released, so I decided to try this, thinking that it would be the same. Boy was I wrong. I hate rail shooters unless I'm at an arcade, where I expect them. Releasing this at the same time as War for Cybertron was a mistake. Full Review »
