  1. Official Nintendo Magazine UK
A fun quiz game that does exactly what it says on the tin and is good value for the money. [July 2008, p.87]
  2. This is instantly one of the better party games on the system and, because there are so many questions, it's likely that you'll be coming back again and again.
  3. Games Master UK
Not quite as slick as "Buzz," but the wheel is a nice - literal - twist. [Sept 2008, p.85]
  4. n-Revolution Magazine UK
It's a fun family/party game and the Miis are often very amusing. Not bad. [Issue#24, p.28]
  5. games(TM)
With three difficulty levels. There are several weeks worth of challenge here, making TV Show King much better value than its disc-based competitors. [Aug 2008, p.119]
  6. Game show fans will easily get a kick out of the quirky gameplay, and it's definitely worth playing with a group of people who share an appreciation for the genre.
  7. Snappy graphics and zany sound, but just not enough challenge and depth, still, a worthy entry in the party game mix.

TV Show King has a great presentation but the quiz game design and writing do not quite reach the same level of quality. The bad bits stack up against the game: no buzzing in, stupid multiple choice options in the "normal" setting, and idiotic computer AI opponents who choose some of the more obvious wrong answers.
  9. If you love quiz games, or are looking for something a little different to play with buddies, then TV Show King is a great option for 1000 Wii Points.
  10. It is a fun party game, on par with games like Scene It or Rock Band, but not as addictive. And at 1000 Wii Points ($10.00), I can't say that it is for everyone. But for me, a trivia junkie, it was totally worth it.
  11. TV Show King is a fun title that can be played in short bursts every so often.
  12. Nintendo Gamer
    Both a decent brain-tickler and a remarkably swift argument-starter. [Aug 2008, p.72]
  13. For all its limitations and tongue in cheek presentation, the actual quiz itself is fun, challenging and varied enough to warrant a place on your Wii Channel Home Page.
  14. It’s almost fun in spite of itself. Most of what you’ll enjoy about TV Show King is what your friends bring from outside the game. You get to shout, laugh, and show off to your pals in an easy 10 minute dose.
  15. Taken on its own, the game is fairly enjoyable — albeit pretty limited — but with games like Smarty Pants on shelves, I really can’t recommend TV Show King.
  16. Edge Magazine
TV Show King’s key problem is that each round is identical: answering five questions for points. [Aug 2008, p.101]
  17. TV Show King is a quiz game, and it features questions. That basic level of expectance is all it manages to meet, and it's horribly clear that this is simply a "make do" release, put out there to mop up an existing market with the minimum of effort.

A solid quiz game with plenty of questions. Good fun with more than one person. Worth it for 1000 points.
