Worst game in the Worms franchise, and hands down one of the worst games I've ever played. I really liked Worms Armageddon and the Worms game on XBLA. They're simple, fun, require a bit of strategy, and have cool weapons that you can use to blow up your friends' worms. This game on the Wii however has some of the worst controls and mechanical issues I've ever seen. For whatever reason aWorst game in the Worms franchise, and hands down one of the worst games I've ever played. I really liked Worms Armageddon and the Worms game on XBLA. This game on the Wii however has some of the worst controls and mechanical issues I've ever seen. For whatever reason a team can now only have three worms, team names aren't a feature, very limited weapon selection, no online gameplay. But really more than anything it was the bad controls, it renders the game hardly playable. I only paid $4.50 for a used copy of this game and I had to return it almost immediately it was such a waste of my money. Seriously avoid this game. You'll a million times more fun skipping stones or babysitting your neighbor's dog. Collapse

  1. Multiplayer skirmishes still make for a good time, and I definitely support the return to 2-D, but this series just can't seem to take a real step forward without taking two steps back. [Apr 2008, p.85]
  2. This is one Worms game that should be left to float off in space. [Apr 2008, p.76]

The weapon control is fresh and fun, there’s still a huge list of options, and the CG and voice work inclusion certainly helps. If you were hoping for a robust online experience, however, that will have to wait for A Space Oddity 2, which we’re sure will be coming sometime down the line.
