  1. It took me around ten hours to complete, and while I was never on the edge of my seat, I was charmed for most of that time, sticking with it until I'd picked up the last gamerpoints. If your gaming palate favours such gentle fare, A Kingdom for Keflings is a lovely way to spend the day.

Short-lived settlement building with soothing gameplay and music. [Nov 2008, p.84]

But my biggest problem with Keflings is its lack of...well, a soul.
  4. It's really not a great videogame. But it's certainly a good waste of time.
  5. At first, the game seems like a good time. After a few hours, you'll realize that you are essentially doing the same consequence-free things over and over.
  6. Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

Its lethargic pace could put many off, but the mix of strategy and resource management is hard to fault. [Feb 2009, p.104]
  7. Despite the dull design and terrible frame rate, I found myself playing KFK for five hours straight. The entire game I personally had a feeling offelt “This isn’t very fun, I wish I wasn’t playing this” but continued to do so anyway.

As some of the main critics have said, no consequences makes this a sandbox game to waste time in. It's missing the one main ingredient for an average rts.... warfare; without it, its selling out to casual sim city-ites who don't want the chance of their population hating them. The music, collision, terrain, frame rate, are all a waste. Your money can be better spent renting a couple movies. What was nice, was they incorporated avatars pretty much at the same time the update was released it seems. Full Review »

Amazing little game. I didn't think much of it when I read about it or even after I started it up. But after playing for a few hours, Amazing little game. I didn't think much of it when I read about it or even after I started it up. But after playing for a few hours, and then a few more hours, and then omg it's 3am. This game is astonishingly addicitve, with nice chevos, too. Great arcade game that has that magical "just one more turn" quality that I miss from my PC gaming days. Highly recommended for a relaxing bit of fun. Full Review »
