  • Summary: (Downloadable Content) Battle of Forli is the first expansion pack for Assassin's Creed II.

  1. The first of two scheduled DLC packs for Assassin's Creed II, we can't help but think the content within should have made an appearance on disk when the game was released.
  2. Although its low cost we miss more content in this first Assassin’s Creed II DLC. The Battle of Forli is an interesting add-on for the main game, but for future expansions we wish for something more.
  3. Expect about an hour of play, give or take. If you're desperate for more Assassin's, jump right in. Just be aware that you're only getting half the story.
  4. Sure it’s only 320 points on Xbox Live but there’s just no real reason to grab this unless you want to hear that countess of Forli lady talk about touching and kissing her breasts and flashing her privates as she taunts some guards.
  5. By any objective measurement, this a poor attempt at adding a new sequence to an excellent game which already boasted a generous amount of content. Had it added more explorational elements, or another secret location to discover, it would have been worth the effort - but to simply stitch together forgettable melee encounters and chases with new cut-scenes is some distance from being enough.
  6. At around 40 minutes Battle of Forli is also an extremely short piece of DLC. The cheap price of 320 Microsoft Points can justify it, but for such a small amount of content and the same gameplay we’ve already spent 15 hours playing, it isn’t really worth it.
  7. It seems like a fairly cheap move delivering what now comes across as an incomplete experience without purchasing this download content, and seeing as this is being listed with a $4.00/£3.20 buying price, it isn't exactly cheap to experience it.

The reason i only gave it a eight is because i think this section should have just came with the game, as the price is quite high and this package lasts an hour, tops. The price does not reflect the package you're buying, otherwise, this is classic Assassin's Creed gaming and fully enjoyable. Expand

Well, the wait was definitely not worth it, as Battle of Forli pretty much sucks. It adds no new elements to the game whatsoever; it is nothing more than a new story, told through six missions that are small variations of missions found in the main plot. The story makes little sense, and it fells stupid that Ezio would so foolishly leap into trouble after all he went through and everything he has achieved. Even worse, this DLC offers no closure. If you want to see the end of this confusing story you will have to buy the next DLC pack in order to reveal the final missing memory sequence. The only fun found in Battle of Forli is the possibility to use Da Vinci's flying machine whenever you want. Expand

This lame $4 add-on isn't even worth buying to get that missing achievement for flying into a guard. You're better off replaying the game. Expand
