   It's easy to expect most games to be a cynical cash in. Asura's Wrath is no cynical cash in. It's a huge risk and it's great. I mean really great. Yes its a series of anime tv style episodes with qte and a variety of gameplay genres mixed in between. The thing is, the story telling, music and action is amazingly crafted and totally outrageous. If you are cheap, rent it. if you are rich buy it. You will be entertained unless you don't like things that are different and great. If it sounds risky or you played it and were totally jaded then go play some rehashed sequel. This game is totally unique.… Expand

   Anime lovers will love this game. great simple gameplay with amazing story and graphics. loved it.

   Asura's Wrath sets itself apart by seismic animated cinematics and some stirring audio presentation. It's too bad that it fails to incorporate the player as it does the extraordinary presentation because Asura's Wrath is otherwise an extremely ambitious game with wonderfully constructed set pieces and an over the top style similar to Asura's angry and aggressive demeanour. So if you pick up Asura's Wrath you really are plonking down the cash for a cinema sized experience. However this is one such game where Quick Time Events are forgiven because the game is unlike anything else out there.… Expand

   Giving a score to this, in lack of a better word, "game" is hard because it's not a game.
   
   It's some kind of an interactive japanese anime with some short and poor session of play between them.
   
   On on hand you got incredible cinematics that drive a very immersive story that is unfortunately filled with qte (i hate qte, it's not fun and prevent us to really appreciate the story.... and above all they have no impact on how the stroy evolve, it's just scoring), and on the other hand you got very boring, allways the same session of playing that includes poor railshooting, beat'em all and boss fight that you can resume in dodging until the small weakness window allow to hit him.
   
   So how can we score this ? well as it is sold as a video game (with the price that came with it) it is just plain bad. Gameplay wise it's a disaster, 90% of the said gameplay consist in qte and the rest is always the same boring action. Story wise it is superb, too bad it's not an just an anime, it would have been way better.
   
   As a video game, witch is what i judge here i can only give a bad score of 3.
   
   As an anime, i would give it a 8.
   
   Too bas it's a video game....
