AwesomeNauts is a great multiplayer game and although it lacks a story mode, the singleplayer practice mode is still compelling - despite a the odd AI quirk.

If you dig DotA and want to play a streamlined version of that game on a console, Awesomenauts will deliver big time. But don't be surprised when, well, you wind up never being surprised.

A great mix of strategy and 2D platforming.

Coordination between teammates seems to be pretty important, but otherwise I felt like each match hinged on whether or not teams could get momentum early and shut buy upgrades quicker.

With its bright, cartoony visuals and easy-to-grasp concepts, Awesomenauts serves as a good introduction to the MOBA genre. While it might not have the longevity of a game like League of Legends, it's sure to provide hours of entertainment for anyone with the patience to endure some initial butt-kicking.

This is not a game for quick matches, but long sessions of play, but its gameplay is solid and can engage you until you reach Level 45. It adapts PC classics like DOTA or League or Legends to console, with simple controls and beautiful graphics.

Choose a lane, endure, upgrade, push, endure, upgrade, push, repeat. I forget, does familiarity breed contempt or content?

Awesomenauts requires patience, both to tolerate and enjoy it, especially if you're playing against high-ranked players with objectively superior characters. You get what you put into Awesomenauts, so be prepared to commit to it if you throw your chips in.

This is a deep, engaging, beautiful game, a welcome alternative to DOTA and League of Legends for the console crowd.

Awesomenauts isn't really a bad game. It's well built, holds promise for additional content and serves as a good primer to the MOBA genre. Unfortunately, the lack of players kills the product.

It certainly gives a great deal in the first few hours. Though it's repetitive, the mechanics are solid and the concept itself works fantastically.

    It's unforgiving to noobs. [July 2012, p.83]

Awesomenauts is the first MOBA side-scrolling with all the elements that characterize the competitive environment of the genre, coupled with a cartoon style with its own personality, with enough depth to become a game in which you'll want to invest your time.

A thoroughly engaging title that easily satisfies any superficial desires. We were left wanting more. [Issue#122, p.114]

It's a space themed game that have a presentation to like like characters of a cartoon on a TV show, with anthropomorphic features, and with the objective of destroy the enemies laser defense guns in order to advance in the stage, while attacking the enemies robots (the common enemies) and special characters, to actually reach the enemy main base and destroy it, winning the game. By destroying the enemies you receive credits that are spend in a base at the start of the stage, with upgrades to your character. It's a simple concept game, that have a dynamic gameplay, and as with all multiplayer games, have the fun in this item - the negative features are the few stages, and that have only one mode. I'm not much impressed with it, but If you're looking for a fast paced, arena multiplayer game, maybe this is your game Full Review »

"Awesomenauts"? Sounds like a cheesy game title. But the game? Not cheesy at all! This MOBA from Ronimo Games is truly a hidden gem. The"Awesomenauts"? Sounds like a cheesy game title. But the game? Not cheesy at all! This MOBA from Ronimo Games is truly a hidden gem. The graphics are colorful and burst out at you, which is kinda awesome! The characters are balanced, and feel like the attacks have a lot of oomph to them! By characters being balanced, I mean COMPLETELY balanced! The gameplay is fun and addictive, you will be playing it so much it will feel like a bad habit! Ronimo has only made 2 games I believe, this being my favorite and others too! Get it. It feels like a full budget game your playing, but, your not! Full Review »

Love this little 2D DOTA gem that came out of nowhere. If you loved Monday Night Combat, this is just as fun. The game is great overall, but ILove this little 2D DOTA gem that came out of nowhere. If you loved Monday Night Combat, this is just as fun. The game is great overall, but I hope there will be continuing updates that deal with some balancing issues, as well as adding new characters and levels. This is the most fun I've had playing competitive multiplayer in a while. Full Review »
