It looks great, it sounds good and it plays like a real dream, the simplistic gameplay revealing hidden depths and strategies the more you play, with plenty of hilarious moments of death or glory in every game you can play. Blowing up your friends really has never been so much fun!
  2. It’s multiplayer Bomberman at its finest. With Bomberman Live! you don’t have to get a Wii to play some good, local multiplayer.
  3. 90
The formula is as hectic and hilarious as it's ever been, and having it reside on a hard drive, ready for eight-player online action at any moment, makes it the perfect Live Arcade title.
  4. A full-service Bomberman experience - Live Arcade is the perfect platform for it, and $10 is a fair price. We just can't resist. [Sept 2007, p.73]
  5. 84
The game is a ton of fun, very dynamic in terms of gameplay, and more than worth the asking price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10USD).
  6. A cheap, polished online-enabled offering that fans and newcomers should embrace heartily to their bosoms. It's exactly the sort of quality offering that Microsoft should be extracting from developers of Live Arcade titles and one that should bring a smile to the faces of any right thinking gamers.
  7. Enough of the old charm shines through for the eight online or local players to have a blast. [Issue#24, p.100]

Without doubt the best XBLA arcade title yet! Buy more pads, invite your mates, order the pizzas and crack open the beers.

Light, comical and explosive! This is easily the best game on XBLA and without a doubt delivers the best online gaming experience I've ever had. Bomberman Live is gaming greatness and non stop fun at its very best. It was super easy to pick up and play (within minutes) and people of any age will love it! Finally! we have a game that knows what games are all about (NON STOP FUN!), and once you pick it yup you won't be able to put it down! A definite a must buy!! Awesome game! Woot! Expand

Bomberman is primarily a multi-player game that sees up to four players attempting to blow up all their opponents by dropping bombs within a selection of mazes. Back in the Mega Drive and PSone days I spent many an hour playing Bomberman with friends and this is the same game it always was. The only disappointment for me is the 3d graphics that actually make it harder to see clearly what is going on and actually resulted in a few untimely deaths for my friends and I. Expand
