God, this game sucks. The controls are lousy, the framerate is terrible. The AI is the stupidest I've ever come across, invisible walls everwhere and I have NO idea what's going on in this story.

Strange how a couple of reviewers can rate this game based on the japan version, when the us version is being tweaked and fine tuned to make the game a little better? So i'll cheat as well and give the game a 10 until I see the final product! I like the idea of the game, and I think it should be worth while.... But we will see what happens!

Starts of well but graphics are not up to par with next gen systems and character movement is quite linear and boring. The Cartwheel is only cool the 1st 10 times you see it. Plot is kind of blah too.

Ok, this game is fun for about 5 minutes, then you realize, it's a witch who can't use her, what looks like a broom, gun to fly on, what the hell! I'm a witch who can't fly, that is just bad design.

I really enjoyed the combination of fast gunplay, unlimited ammo (and no dumb pickups or chests placed about to replenish health or ammo), and magic spells with very different effects. The graphics, with the sense of huge expanse, and the camera perspective, were very appealing as well. Most appealing of all was Alicia, who has to rate as one of the prettiest game heroines around (and sexy too, as anyone who has downloaded the pixie and secretary costumes will attest). All in all, a very fun game with much replay value--there are literally dozens of missions for download--that has been unfairly rated by far too many.… Expand

This game is flawed, but it's still a rather awesome title worthy of owning. There's tons of destruction and lots of cool weapons to use in the process. Destroying stuff never gets old like using lightning and tornadoes to destroy a lot of stuff on the screen. Overall, this game rocks and if loved Devil May Cry, you'll easily like this title. It may have PS2 graphics and is somewhat repetitive, but when you look past those you're left with a really awesome game.… Expand

This was one o.f the best games ever. Alicia was freaking hot for a video game character.

This isn't such a bad game. It's fun to play, looks ok, sounds ok and has some pretty cool set peices. It's no Gears of War but is more than playable and enjoyable. It captures the gothic vibe nicely and has a feel of the filsm The Crow and Underworld about it. Only dead fish go with the flow! Don't be a sheep! Make your own mind up and try this game out.

I rented this game with my brother and my friend and we took turns enduring it's frustrating gameplay. The concepts in the game are actually rather interesting and the art was decent. I just wish there were more than about 5 kinds of enemies the whole game. Literally more than 90% of the combat was with the same type of enemy behaving in the same exact way. The best part of playing this game is the stories you get to tell later of some of the worst games you've played… Expand
