  • Summary: The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package delivers 5 additional action-packed multiplayer maps, including brand-new battlegrounds and legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The Stimulus Package includes five additional multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations: "Bailout," a multi-level apartment complex torn apart by combat with tight corridors and blown out suites along with vantage points overlooking the connecting courtyards and parking lots. "Storm," an open industrial park with large abandoned warehouses and factories littered with heavy machinery subjected to the rain and booming approach of an impending thunderstorm. "Salvage," a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars that offer a varied layout of open and close-quartered combat areas. "Crash", a war-torn urban environment centered by a downed helicopter and surrounded by vantage points from multi-story shops and destroyed buildings. "Overgrown," which features open fields with high grass and a massive dry creek bed that splits this neglected village in half. [Activision] Expand

It accomplishes what it sets out to do, but the Stimulus Package feels closer to a shot of caffeine than it does adrenaline.
  2. What might initially seem like a a greedy offering, is in fact a decent package. Two classic COD4-maps with improved graphics and new game-modes, plus another three maps added for good measure. An expensive piece of DLC, but worth it for fans of MW2.
  3. For those who are investing scores of hours into the game every week, the Stimulus Package will live up to its name, revitalising the game once again by providing new scope to learn, master and dominate.
  4. Taking into account the amount of content and pricing of 1200MSP, we've given the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package a respectable Overall Rating of 6.5/10. Modern Warfare 2 veterans will surely be picking the Stimulus Package up, and it does what it sets out to do, in giving players some new, well laid out maps to do battle on.

Thought there would be more for the price. Disappointed that Activision didn't pack the DLC like World at War DLC. i.e. new maps and Zombie mode. I was hoping for at least new spec-ops missions along with maps. Oh well good-bye space bucks. I will be more hesitant on the next DLC available. Expand

Unless you're still putting in the hours, do not bother with this overpriced 3 map pack. You will groan over seeing crash and overgrown again - Killstreak rewards are the only difference to these tired old maps and do little to make you care to play them again. Don't get me wrong, the hardcore will love it all - but for the casual fpser, $15 is a ripoff for only 3 new maps with terrible options currently to play the new ones only. $10 these would be a great deal for, but that extra 5 is just a spit in the face with only 3 maps and 2 reused. This expansion is lacking in many ways. First there are three new boards. If you played World at War. It is as if they released three subway stations. Each one is subpar and not great. The ice level is probably the best but it is not that terrific. They do give you two maps from the first modern warfare. Crash is ok but the other is a sniper fest. There is a huge problem with this release though, No achievement points. We are still stuck at 1000. Now granted they don't have a zombie map to let you work with someone to earn points but how about some points for doing some of the things online. What about adding a few more titles and emblems. Of course you have to buy the expansion because otherwise your friends will not play with you cause they want to play the new maps. World at War's first expansion was awesome. This felt more like the last expansion that WAW did which was just the SSDD. Expand

For me this is the final nail in Infinity Ward's coffin. First they give us a mediocre game that's very little fun to play in all of its poor, incomplete modes and charge us an exuberant amount of money for it. Then they create this map-pack, consisting of three unoriginal, cliched, maps that do very little to add to the already dull and fundamentally flawed multiplayer, and two maps literally copied from the first game. I mean I know there was just about bugger all worthwhile new content added in MW2, but can we at least pretend that we're not just doing the same thing we did in the first game so we're able to sift out a few more hours of playtime before we realise how utterly boring it is? And then, to top it all off, they go and give it an ENORMOUS price tag, I mean, it costs easily double the price of a normal map pack. The initial game price was forgivable, but this proves my fears are true: Infinity Ward has become a heartless juggernaut, no longer pouring love and thought into its games, just hoping to cash in from it's established fandom. Don't buy. Fight the power. Expand
