The game is arguably a little too tough, with plenty of ways to lose health but few to top it back up again, and there are a couple of precision do-or-die leaps that act as stark reminders of the game's unforgiving vintage. Those caveats aside, Comix Zone still impresses with its ideas and execution and is a definite highlight of SEGA's retro line-up.

    One of the last truly great Genesis games. A 2d beat em up with a twist, jumping around sketches in a comic book, complete with amazing One of the last truly great Genesis games. A 2d beat em up with a twist, jumping around sketches in a comic book, complete with amazing animation and top notch combat. It has aged well and theres definitely a challenge in completing the game.     Make no mistake though this is still a hugely playable, innovative game even today. If you're a fan of old school scrolling beat em ups this is unmissable.
