A conversion that is almost too good to be true. Diablo III is moving past its previous mistakes and removes the game-breaking auction house that made PC players suffer through its charts. [Issue#234]

I’ve played dozens of hours of the game on PC, and after playing this version, I don’t think I’m going back to the keyboard and mouse anytime soon.

This is the best version of Diablo III you can currently buy. If you were burned by the PC version of the game, but still found the combat and classes offered to be a lot of fun, then this is certainly worth checking out. Despite wasting an incredible amount of time with the PC version, I can see my addiction starting up all over again here, and I’m looking forward to seeing how far I can take my character with this new and improved loot system.

The console version is without a doubt the Diablo III you should get, even if you already have it for PC. The controls work brilliantly on the controller and its painterly style still looks as vibrant and gorgeous as ever. Thanks to a few smart changes, Blizzard has managed to remedy essentially every problem I initially had with the game, leaving me to enjoy Diablo III the way it was meant to be played.

The full Diablo 3 experience has landed on the consoles and it has lost none of its fantastic shine and depth of gameplay.
  6. Aug 29, 2013
It’s different in all the right ways. With an engaging new control scheme, fewer online hurdles, and all the depth of the original, taking on Diablo’s legion of demon lords has never been more enjoyable.

It's one of the best local and online co-op games available on 360. [Issue#103, p.77]

Diablo III is like a game reborn on Xbox 360. The lack of good loot - which really killed the PC version for me - is not a problem here. [Oct 2013]
  9. Sep 20, 2013
Diablo III adds just enough to the console experience to separate it from its older PC sibling without stripping away the core action RPG base.
  10. Sep 20, 2013
This is no slap-dash conversion. The transition to consoles has been managed with extreme care and respect – so much so, that as we speak, playing with friends on the sofa is the best way to experience Diablo III.
  11. Sep 18, 2013
This Diablo III PC to the consoles conversion is not only, so to say, flawless, but also, as a matter of fact, superior to the original.
  12. Sep 15, 2013
A great porting, with a brilliant gameplay and great challenge level and replayability. Console gamers had to wait over one year, but they got the best version at last.
  13. Sep 12, 2013
Diablo III is a fantastic game that gets even better on consoles. This is something I never thought I would say.
  14. Sep 9, 2013
Its weighty, brutal combat is instantly entertaining, and the steady drip of new and interesting ways to slaughter monsters by the screenfull makes leveling each of the five characters a joy.
  15. Sep 9, 2013
As addictive and accessible as ever, Diablo 3 on consoles is a fit more comfortable than anyone predicted, and proves that Blizzard not only listen to their fans, but are willing to walk the extra mile even for a port. Especially in this day and age, that’s an impressive ethic.

Console port of Diablo III is a great investment for players that haven't had the opportunity to try out Blizzard's masterpiece, as well as for those players that have been put off by controversial changes in the series' mechanic. This version has two important things, that many have missed: an offline mode and a well crafted loot system. Yeah, it is a little less pretty than the PC version, but it makes up for it with other aspects of the game.

Diablo 3 is a fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled, and funny game, contextualized in a setting that oozes charm from every pore. The title, pure action, not to be confused with an RPG, a genre with which it shares only few elements.

This impressive console port is a great fit for those who are new to the series and to co-op fans alike.
  19. Diablo 3 isn't an experience for the time-poor, though it's surprisingly possible to nip in for half an hour, just to level yourself up. But treat it like a casino: set yourself a limit, and stick to it. Otherwise, you might find yourself wide-eyed on Nephalem Glory at 5am.
  20. Sep 3, 2013
The console version of Diablo III is a pleasant surprise thanks to wise tweaks, great controls, offline play and local cooperative. There is something less, like the lower resolution, but the overall experience is great.
  21. Sep 3, 2013
While I’m not sure the harcore end-game will translate with the console audience, there is no doubt that Diablo III is the new couch co-op king.
  22. 90
Dispel any doubts you might have had: thanks to some smart tweaks and changes, Diablo III is a deep, spirited game that fits right into its new home.
  23. Aug 29, 2013
Diablo 3 on console is one of the best co-op games money can buy. It swings smoothly from easygoing to intense, with perfectly paced pockets of downtime, and is capable of swallowing entire evenings in a single, voracious gulp.
  24. Aug 29, 2013
Diablo III is an excellent adaptation by Blizzard, who has created a funnier, faster, accessible game, without simplifying it too much. The controls are great and the 4 player offline coop mode is as fun... as hell!
  25. Sep 11, 2013
Yes, it’s disappointing to see so many bugs, but at the end of the day you’re here for the dopamine reaction that hits when you see those legendary drops, and there are absolutely no issues with that part of the game whatsoever.

Diablo III is a better game on consoles. Gamepad controls lack precision a bit, but on the other hand this version does a better job at conveying the most important thing in the series – the euphoria associated with looting. [CD-Action 11/2013, p.68]
  27. Sep 20, 2013
This edition of Diablo III is quite different from its PC "brother", but still offers an addictive and superb action-rpg/dungeon crawler experience.
  28. Sep 6, 2013
Blizzard finally makes its console re-introduction, and an amazing one it is. Diablo III is addictive as always and playing with friends like couch potato's is just plain awesome. Even if you are a singleplayer gamer and you have little interest; don't wait, Diablo III is worth the money.
  29. Sep 4, 2013
Blizzard has managed to bring Diablo III to a wider audience thanks to small tweaks to the gameplay and a renewed control system. However Diablo III on PC is still the best version.
  30. Sep 3, 2013
Except for the battle system that still shows its PC roots, Blizzard converted the mechanics almost perfectly to the gamepad. And the rest is, well, Diablo 3. If you don’t like it, this won’t change your mind. But if you do, this is not just one of the best coop games out there, but with all the little tweaks and changes this could very well be the best version.

Things have a tendency to gets low if you’re playing multiplayer with Diablo-newbies, as the inventory interface is rather slow. But once you’ve got it figured, Diablo III on console is an great experience and an excellent port, that even manages to dodge some of the issues from the PC version and adds a few new tricks. Well worth getting if you don’t own the PC version already.
  32. Sep 17, 2013
There’s no auction house or online demands, but the console port suffers from issues with local multiplayer. Preferably, get the PC version. If not, this will do you just fine as well.
  33. Sep 9, 2013
On console as on PC, Diablo III is a very safe game. It never diverges from the path carved by its predecessors and the numerous loot-driven hack-and-slash dungeon crawlers they inspired. But Diablo III also proves that when done well, the classic formula can still be absorbing.
  34. Sep 9, 2013
Is the PC version of Diablo III better? In some very important ways, yes. But as a console game, Diablo III is outstanding. There is no comparable experience on console systems... There is nothing with Diablo III’s breadth, accessibility, and richness.
  35. Sep 6, 2013
The port to consoles definitely opens up the world of Sanctuary to a wider audience, with only minor impediments to enjoying the game. Without the Auction House, you'll have to trade with your friends, like the glory days of Diablo II, which should be a welcome change to many gamers.
  36. Sep 6, 2013
Diablo 3 on console is a joy. What some thought a quintessential PC game feels at home in its new format, particularly where stripped of its forebear's annoyances. It may not push the boundaries, but as an old-school action RPG it is unparalleled.
  37. Sep 3, 2013
Rest assured, Diablo 3 on consoles is the same experience PC fans enjoyed, tweaked just enough to make the difference between the two meaningful.
  38. Sep 3, 2013
The constant acquisition of powerful and exotic items is the driving force behind the game’s appeal and its challenges and rewards are many.
  39. Aug 30, 2013
It’s a big game too, and once you find yourself hooked, it’s eminently replayable...Of course, with length comes tedium, and there are times where Diablo’s relentless grind can become mercilessly wearying.
  40. Sep 19, 2013
Daiblo III is a pretty poor RPG but probably the best loot driven dungeon crawler on your console. So if you aren’t too fussed about the rushed story and are prepared to lose countless hours to find THAT legendary item and get your DPS just so, then Diablo III is probably for you. Everyone else will play the game once and wonder what the fuss was all about.
  41. Oct 3, 2013
In short, it doesn’t matter if you’ve seen it all before, you’ll still enjoy the hell out of it.
  42. 70
As good as Diablo is ever likely to be when playing with a joypad, but even the new local co-op options are subject to necessary but debilitating compromises.

For anyone religious even though this game has evil name, you play as a good guy and kill evil that's the point.

diablo 3 is way better to consoles from pc.First there is no always online drm.you can play offline singleplayer plus 4 co-op local.Second thediablo 3 is way better to consoles from pc.First there is no always online drm.you can play offline singleplayer plus 4 co-op local.Second the suprise for me is the control system of your character, better than mouse and keyboard on pc.You have the left stick to move and right stick to envade(you step back
or sideways to envade enemies). You must play it to realise that blizzard did very well job with controls.
AND third the looting that is the heart of these games is right not broken like the pc version because there is no auction house.YOU gain items every time you complete quests and not only money and exp.
    this games is for looting.
