  1. Very good, for the few who can take the pace. [Christmas 2011, p.105]

This adaptation of the 2008 arcade is still fresh, thanks to the mastery of Cave in the genre. Those who haven't enjoyed it in the iPhone will find a great game, that is a perfect port from the arcade, adding all its gameplay features.

Take a good game and make it even better: that's what Cave has done out of DoDonPachi Resurrection Deluxe, a low-cost title that offers an unique gameplay style. Colourful, happy and incredibly outrageous, don't think it twice before buying it.
  4. Nov 16, 2011
For those who like their shooters feisty rather than thinky, this is the perfect choice. [Issue#115, p.109]

Not only one of Cave's best 2D shooters but one of the definitive entries in the whole genre, with a deep weapons system and dazzling pyrotechnics.

Regardless, that Cave continues to flourish in a shifting industry and to evolve a sub-genre they helped define, is testament to the studio's strategic nous - in-game and out. DoDonPachi Resurrection shows just how much poorer we would be without them.
  7. Mind-fryingly difficult but extremely well designed score attack game. [Christmas 2011, p.101]
  8. Dec 17, 2011
Interested in getting into the genre? Try the softer Ikaruga or Radiant Silvergun. [Jan 2012, p.98]
  9. Dec 28, 2011
The Xbox 360 conversion of DoDonPachi Resurrection has an interesting leaderboard system and a couple of intriguing game modes, but the gameplay is a bit too old and lacks originality.
  10. 70
Made with the hardcore in mind. [Issue#79, p.86]

boring, repetitive and unpolished, this game needs some serious perseverance just to get past the first 5 minutes. dont even bother looking at this game, its not worth your time Full Review »

Fantastic port of one of CAVE's best shmups. Not for everyone, but as a starting point is a good choice as there is a Novice mode to get you used to it, before throwing you into the other modes.
Music is great, and lots of action.
